Max snuck out the back of the house, her father's wand firmly clutched in her gloved hand. It wasn't too late yet in the evening, seeing as her prank involved people being awake to answer their doors.
She crept as far away and as quietly as she could from the door of the house to the garden in front. She ducked behind a tree and then motioned for the others to follow her. Sure, they could just explain to Auntie Kylie that they were going caroling, but in what universe would she believe that?
