Trip was named by her aunt Theanine, who in turn was named by the eccentric Nana Cara. I think it was revenge on Theanine's part and Nana Cara's impression that most wizards have odd names. McManus is the maiden name of her witch grandmother. Her mother's full name is Maeve McManus Lynn. Maeve decided to pass it down to her daughter.
As for Divination, I just wanted her to excel, and have no interest in turning Trip into a Seer. I had used the phrase "seeing the future" to describe class activities such as ball gazing and card readings, not visions. I was under the impression that a student didn't need Seer talent to be good a Divination. However, now it seems I need special permission for this anyways? Please clarify.
Besides, it would be fun to narrate interactions between her and her superstitious muggle grandmother. Also, since I know many real life fortune tellers work off of the body language and reactions of a client, I thought Trip would be able to do something similar, although obviously untrained. I felt that would work with her empathic nature. (Which I am working on elaborating!)
"We'd like if you could elaborate on the rest of her weaker classes." I've given her A's in most classes, as I thought her attention to homework and the like would at least get her that much. Also, I tried to make her weaknesses are rather strong. However, since she doesn't take CoMC, her grades are not severely affected. (Just see what happens around other people's pets, though!) I did lower her Potions, Arithmancy, and Divination grades to accomodate you.
I'm working on some of her character stuff now, but specifics would be helpful.
No, that's perfectly alright! Sorry, I must have misunderstood what you meant by 'seeing the future'. As long as you have no intention of bringing Seer abilities in then you're good to go. Sorry about that, it's just something we're concerned on keeping low numbers in :)
We actually meant A as a sign of being a weaker class. Obviously not a weakness, but a weaker class. For example, if she's good at wandwork perhaps she's not so good at theory classes such as Astronomy? Or that while being talented at Charms, Transfiguration is more difficult for her due to the science behind the subject.
Specifics would be what are her likes/dislikes? Does she have any hobbies? How does she get along with her siblings? Did something happen to make them as important to her as they are? Perhaps she lost a family member at a young age? Does she have any enemies? How does she feel about elitists? And of course, how the safe house thing affects her, if she does know about it. If she doesn't know about it, how would she feel? What if she found out? Would she still be as trusting/loving to her parents?
I brought the grades up that I lowered, as I didn't originally understand what you meant. I've talked about her other classes now.
I wrote a bit more about her hobbies, but she tends to go with the flow. I had to put in that she doesn't like turkey. :) Couldn't resist that. I haven't decided if she genuinely doesn't like it, or if it's a reaction to her name. Probably a bit of both.
Info on her siblings is in the History section. I only put in a bit more, concerning their current status. They're part of the family, so any statements about family can be applied to them.

I dealt with the safe house issue, as well.
