EXTENDED APPLICATION
Personality:
An only child in an old family, Aislin can do the awing ‘trace my lineage back to the australopithecines’ thing. The greatest sense of being that Aislin has is that which comes from knowing who her family is, should she be robbed of that, or begin to doubt the ideals which she was raised with, she would become lost.

Aislin is interested in many things… these interests range from the mundane, to the terribly exciting. Apart from her classes (which despite what others may think, do interest her), Aislin has a great interest in figure-flying, dancing, reading, and playing the flute and piano. Aislin loves to socialise (but hates being around people who are more successful than her), but Aislin’s most important and defining interest is that she should become the perfect bride.

She resents Muggleborns, and those who sympathise with them as she has been brought up to resent them. She also feels that being this side of the fence is much better, as subconsciously she really is quite insecure and no one hates a pureblood, right? Or at least, it isn’t as dangerous to be a pureblood as it is to be a Muggleborn. Her greatest ambition is to be of use, and she is already fulfilling that, just not in the way that she aspires to.

Strengths: Both magical and personality: Aislin does very well at Transfiguration. She begun showing signs of being a witch at two, showing accidental magic (which I'm sure was very planned) through the changing of a cousin's hair ribbon to a slim children's python. When she came to Hogwarts she found transfiguration to be quite easy, and has a natural talent for it.

The other subjects she has to work at, but she does very well in school through her own stubborn nature, and her constant studying. There is also that she has the advantage of having been given an aristocrat child’s education before Hogwarts- so she can do all those nonsensical social things, like dance, play music, and fly.

Her personality doesn’t have too many strengths. She is very committed to her ideals, and that is perhaps the only thing which can be admired about it. She is ambitious, but her ambitions to others can be seen as frivolous.

Weaknesses: Both magical and personality: Aislin has many flaws which seem to stem from being an only child. Probably the most noticable flaw of all is the flaw of not being able to admit that she is flawed. Others include her demanding nature, hauty tone and tantrums when she doesn't get her own way. She is also horrible at Herbology because she isn't a nurturer so can't properly execute the practical half of the course. She maintains that this doesn’t count, as Herbology isn’t a real subject anyway.

Personality wise, Aislin does not have a very desirable personality. She is shrewd, obnoxious, she always jumps to (the wrong) conclusions, and yet she still expects everyone to like her- even though she thinks badly of all of them. She also spends most of her time studying, so most of her socialisation stems from studying with someone else- such as her library sessions with Elanor.

Fears: Aislin's greatest fear is failure in anything that means something to her (thus Herbology doesn't count). She cannot handle the possible thought of getting low grades, or not achieving a goal... because it's simply not part of her ideal vision of perfection. As such, she is afraid of lowering her standards. Other fears are isolation, because as much as she believes that she is better than most people... being alone frightens her,

History: Aislin is the first born, and the only born child by her parents Sereline and Egethor, Sereline was straight out of Hogwarts and married off to Egethor, a man twice her age. While Ailsin is a daughter and not a son, she is still very much loved by her parents and the only problem seems to be the matter of inheriting the family name- who will do it if Aislin doesn't?

Aislin didn't play much with other children when she was younger because her parents didn't want the children influencing her, but those children that she was exposed to came from families who held the Castius’ own ideals- such as any of Aislin’s cousins. Aislin had an aristocrat child’s education, and can do the typical social dances, and can play music (although her violin and flute skills leave much to be desired), and was also involved in competitive figure-flying. Her parents’ excuses were of course that she needed to be well-rounded, but it could be observed that Sereline had not much of her own life- Aislin was it.

When Aislin came to Hogwarts she got quite a shock as at home she had Aislin had house elves, lived in a mansion and had five rooms of the house all to herself. She wasn't ready for the large amount of people her own age, having to live with them and not getting a room to herself, so she coped with it the only way she knew how- she ordered people about. People in her house stood for it only because she is a pureblood, and some were certain not to stand for it at all.

She studied her little self away through school, meeting friends through a mutual commitment to study, and bonding through impending assignments. Significant people are James, Caer, and Elanor. All of whom seemed to be much the same type of person that Aislin was. For her efforts, Aislin gained prefecture last year.

Physical Description: Her hair is wavy and reaches down to her midback, it is nearly always worn out, its colour is a pale blonde. Aislin's skin is fair with no freckles because she deplores them. Eye colour is a blue-green, framed by blonde eyelashes. Her nose is slightly turned up, but dainty nonetheless, and her chin is always set in an elegent, raised manner which says 'I'm better than you'. She is 5'8" tall, and of slim build.

Significant Relationships:
Family: Optional: Aislin adores her family, all of them, even if Cole is a little odd some times. To her, family is the most important thing of all, and she can’t wait to have her own.
Friends: Optional:
Other: Optional:

Special Considerations: Such as broom ownership, being an animagus, famous in some form, or a metamorphmagus. All are subject to mod approval. Owns a shooting star

COMMUNITY SPECIFIC QUESTIONS
Hogwarts:
Year: 6th
House: Slytherin
Why are they in that house?Aislin is extremely determined and ambitious in every aspect of her life... or at least the ones that she cares about. She has an obsession for keeping up appearances, and being better than everyone. She knows that she cannot simply be this by sitting back, but she has to work hard to achieve it. The greatest ambition that anyone can have is to achieve true perfection... and that's what Aislin tries to do (although it should be noted that her definition of perfection strays quite a bit from a normal person's). She isn't above using sneakiness and trickery to achieve things.
Position: Prefect

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE
Reply to:
Colin, however, felt no reason to lie or sugarcoat the truth when it came to this matter; they could say what they wanted. His mother was a murderer, plain and simple, and he didn't care who knew. "No," he answered, shaking his head, and leaning back in his seat. "But she was a Death Eater who married an Auror. Draw your own conclusions."

"True love?" Aisin suggested. The idea was, in truth, quite alien to her. People didn't marry for true love, they married for political, financial, and personal gain. She watched the face of the seventh year, looking for any change in expression. "Some things overwhelm all reason, and some coincidences don't seem coincidences at all, even though in reality, they really are simply that."

"Was the marriage arranged?" she asked curiously. She knew Colin vaguely, she knew his mother better, and she would never put such a thing beyond a woman like that, but there were the finer points of things, things that she didn't know. Such information could, like the tiny stroke of a quill, turn an 'O', into a 'Q'. They made things abstract, skewed, and other times they lead to the correct version of things.

Aislin knew that there was a correct version of everything, she knew that the world was a certain way, people were a certain way, and that there was The Truth. Colin though, she recognised in him that he was one of those people who were somehow unable to see The Truth. His mind was a muddle, that there were different planes of reality, different versions.

That type of reasoning always put Aislin on edge.
