What kind of wand does your character possess? Walnut, 8.5 inches, pheonix tailfeather.
Does your character own a broom? Which brand? Nimbus 2000, please. She is an auror, so she needs a pimp ride. :D
Describe your character's strengths: Bernadette owns and can shoot a hand gun with accuracy -- her father took her to a range when she was young and taught her the skills he learned in the Police Academy. As a result, she is deadly accurate with both a gun and a wand -- she does not miss in a magical duel. In school, Bernadette was an ace at Defense Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Charms, and Potions. She got her fifth NEWT in Arithmancy. Corina wasn't so good at herbology, but she's passable because of what she needs for her potions work.
Bernadette is the type who doesn’t live with regrets. She is observant, but not infallible. She is friendly, and a good leader -- two things that made her a prefect and then Head Girl in her time at Hogwarts. However, she also has a sharp mind, befitting of a claw -- one that she can turn on others in an instant, and a wry sense of humor.
Describe your character's flaws/weaknesses:
Bernadette always goes out of her way to help people, especially those who are being bullied and the young. She’s fascinated by mystery, but wants to protect people too - this is a conflict within her. She’s very business-like only when she has to be and frequently procrastinates her official communications.
Her family is a weakness, especially her father -- she is a daddy's girl. Because she's a Ravenclaw, and very cerebral, verbal communication under duress is difficult for her. She can’t swim, and is in fact very afraid to try, for no particular reason.
Describe your character's physical attributes.: Honey blonde hair, blue-gray eyes, freckles across the nose. 5’6” tall, on the slim side - but rather muscular as a result of Auror training. Played by Ellary Porterfield.
Is your character Muggle born, a half-blood, or a pureblood? Explain it. Bernadette is a Muggleborn. She grew up in a large, Irish Catholic family - she is the only child of the eldest son of a long line of police officers, and when she got the letter to Hogwarts her father was most disappointed that she would not follow him in to the service of Dublin’s own.
Character Background/History:
Her seven years at Hogwarts were spent in equal parts fun and studying - after all, she was a Ravenclaw. Bernadette has a sense of justice that would have placed her in Gryffindor, if it had not been for her deep desire to completely understand the world around her. She was taught how to shoot at the age of eight, but was just as fascinated by the physics that allowed her to hit the target properly as the possibility of serving when she grew up.
Her father was so proud when she was accepted into the Auror program, and had been anticipating it from early in her Hogwarts career when Corina found out their function - much like Muggle Police. Corina is still wet behind the ears, and so she’s been given the job of babysitting Hogwarts students. She’s a little resentful, but knows her lot. She has to prove herself worthy before moving on.
Her contemporaries at Hogwarts have, for the most part, moved on with their lives. She’s not in great contact with any but those who went through Auror training with her. However, those who were at Hogwarts when she was a student would remember her as she was a prefect and then Head Girl.
