Tegan was curled up on a chair, a blanket wrapped around her snuggly as she held a mug of hot chocolate in her arms. She wasn't doing much of anything, to be honest. She should have been doing her homework, probably, but the excuse that she had all of the next day to do it won her over for being lazy for the remaining hours of the evening.

Though it was getting late. Most of the Puffs had gone up to their dorm rooms for the night. But she was here, finishing up her drink and jotting random thoughts that came to her. Song writing? Not officially, but perhaps one of these days she'd finally admit that was what she was doing.

Jacob rushed into the common room with a distracted grin on his face- which was flushed with cold and his hair extremely messy. Spots of mud speckled his face and there were twigs stuck in his clothes. He stopped when he saw Teegs and waved, on a mission to get to his room to find his bait bag. Bugger Nuts was getting hungry and didn't seem to find the local acorns to his liking. Jake knew that he'd definitely like the bait in the bag since it was mostly cheese and for the past half hour that's all the squirrel had been talking about.

"Teegy!" he said happily and bounded up the stairs to his dorm room.

Tegan looked up from her note pad at the noise of someone bursting into the room, her furrowed brow smoothing out as a smile came to her face once she recognized who it was. He looked... like a mess!! Which she shouldn't have been too surprised by, considering it was Jake. It was more amusing than anything. A little cute too, but considering that was something she tried not to accompany with the boy, she brushed it to the side of her mind.

She waved back, "Hey ya! You alright?" But of course by the time she had gotten that question out, he was already half way up the stairs. She blinked a few times, staring at the spot where he had just been before shrugging and turning back around in her chair. Well, that was intriguing!! Perhaps when he came back down she'd ask him what he was up to.

Jake had been searching for quite some time in his room for various things to take better care of Bugger but had finally found everything he could think of to bring. He stumbled down the steps in a hurry with his arms full of extra shoelaces, some cheese he had brought from dinner for a late night snack, crackers he had stolen to accompany the cheese, a tooth brush, and some cotton stuffing he had taken from one of his pillows.

"Still here?" He asked Teegan with a wide grin before dumping all of his stuff in the armchair beside her, stopping for a chat with Teegan didn't seem like the end of the world. Bugger could wait a bit, after all he did know how to live outside.

Tegan yawned as she flipped the page of the book she was reading, currently in homework mode. It wasn't too late, though, and she still had a bunch to do -- the pile that she'd ignored during the weekend because of the quidditch game. So she wasn't exactly looking forward to completely it all, and it didn't help that she was already getting tired. Lame.

Felix meandered down from his dorm after having completed the last bit of homework he'd been assigned. "Tegan!" He greeted, hopping over the back of the couch to slide into the spot next to her. "I think studiosity simply makes you more attractive," he commented, wondering whether that word actually existed. Probably not, but it didn't really matter, did it? She'd probably understand what he meant by it, after all.

"Perhaps you should take up studying in your dorm. It'd make those third years over there a bit more likely to focus on their schoolwork instead of looking at you."

Try as she might, Tegan could never, ever get used to the way Felix talked to her. Sure, she knew he was like this with all the girls, and she knew he didn't look at her like that, but it was the mere fact that he actually was talking to her at all. That he was... was he trying to flirt with her?? Well, whatever it was, he always got a blush out of her. Especially when he came upon her so unexpectedly like this.

"Felix," She hissed softly, her cheeks bright as she looked around the common room shyly, "You're too much. Where do you come up with those lies?"

"Tegan! I would never lie. I'm a Hufflepuff." Which, really, didn't mean much as all Hufflepuffs tended to lie at some point or another in life, right? Everyone lied. Even if it was only a teensy little white lie. "You're just much too modest to notice the attention. That's why I'm here. To point it out for you." He flashed the girl a grin, folding his legs up underneath of his body.

"One day, you'll have to make a choice so all those poor blokes panting after you can move on with life!"
