You lot may or may not know what's in store for you here. I apologize in advance for your discomfort. In the long run though, you'll be glad you were here. Yes I do know it's required. Any questions you may have after we're done can be directed to Madame Russiani at a time of your choosing, or you may certainly ask me at your discretion in private or when there aren't all of these people around.

This is the Sex Talk. That word you've tossed around but maybe aren't really clear on the definition of? After this hour you'll know more than you wanted to.

Yes, the idea behind it is partly to scare you off. Really though, we're looking to educate you so you can make informed decisions. Take it up with the governors. So then, the class.

Gillichu ignored whatever it was the silly Charms prof was babbling on about now. What he didn't understand was why, exactly, they weren't taught this until third year. He'd tried to explain things to classmates the last two years when they found themselves missing out on whatever Mysterious Wisdom all the other students were being blessed with, and had received sharp reprimands both times. Stupid, really. Like sex was something taboo or forbidden. Grownups were idiots.

Sex talk, you say??

WELL THEN!! ANYA WAS ALL EARS!!! No really, she was. She was that student who was sitting at the front of the class with her parchment and quill at the ready to take copious amounts notes and jot down everything that the Professor was going to say. She was just that interested and more than prepared to raise that hand of hers when a question came to mind.

Granted, Carlisle had been a gem and enlightened her on the subject a couple of weeks ago, but she was still curious!!! So you could say she was a little excited and hoped that the class would start soon.

Anya may be the one in the front taking notes, but J.J. was in the back trying to ignore it all. He'd already gotten THE TALK loads from his mum, in more detail than he ever wanted to know really. He chose to forget about for the most part though. That is until they had the sex talk day apparently.

Bloody hell did they really have to sit through this? He was sure the professor didn't want to be here, he didn't want to bloody be here AND...it was just awkward alright?

His siblings would agree with him on this. There was something about being told about it with your whole family there that just made it bloody awkward and a little turned off by it. At least for now.

You lucky bunch are stuck in the middle. I'm pretty sure you know why you're here. You've had the talk before but you're required to be here again because of several incidents last year and some concern that has been expressed by important people in high places. So, you get a review. Being in the middle, you unfortunately get to hear the anatomy bit again (in case you've somehow missed it so far) as well as the practical precautions I must share with all upper years.

We're going to talk about Contraceptive Charms. No, I don't want to hear that you don't need to know these. You do. If not now than you will. Trust me. Roll your eyes and look away if you must but do listen. You'll be glad when you or the person you chose to sleep with don't turn up pregnant. Store it in your memory if nothing else, and please keep your pamphlets at least until you've read them. Everyone's getting this talk so don't feel singled out. You're all miserable together.

Wandering into class, Ramsey was surprised to see that there was no class plan on the board for the day. Well, not really any class plan. Surprise quickly disappeared when Crone started in on a spiel about Taking Responsibility, and Contraceptive Charms. Contraceptive Charms. Oh man. His mum would have a field day if she knew that such things existed, honestly. And that students were being taught them in school. Without first obtaining parental permission! Well, at least he assumed it hadn't Who knew, really.

Sighing, Ramsey shuffled parchment around on his desk until he found a clean sheet, and began to apparently write very clear, very neat notes. What was actually written, however, touched not on Contraceptive Charms, but instead began, in careful block letters,CLAIRE,
ONCE AGAIN, THANKS FOR BEING YOU. SO, WHAT ABOUT SEX ED? DO THEY REALLY THINK WE NEED THIS? INSANITY, I THINK.

Beccy did roll her eyes. Sex talks? Seriously? With everything going on in the world outside, they were getting a sex talk? They should be practciing defensive charms or learning something useful, not taking up valuable class time with this.

"Of all the.." Beccy was muttering to herself, obviously. It wasn't like Ramsey, who she'd found a seat next to was paying any attention to what she was saying. He was apparently busy taking notes.

Of course. Leave it to a -boy- to pay attention to THIS when he'd probably be completely ignoring a -real- lesson.
