Monday October 16th: Morning!hannah_salixNovember 26 2007, 07:01:47 UTC
Hannah was eating breakfast at the Ravenclaw table. She'd gotten up fairly early but hadn't gone down for breakfast right away. Instead she'd walked outside for awhile until she was really hungry. Now she was wolfing down her food. DELICIOUS!
Re: Monday October 16th: Morning!carlislerNovember 26 2007, 07:03:56 UTC
Carlisle was sort of glad Bly failed to be around in the mornings rather frequently. He was also pretty glad that he, himself, was an early riser. With a slight smile, he dropped into the spot next to Hannah and placed yet another gift in front of her. Woo, rainbow cuffs!
"Morning," he greeted, a little cheerfully, having just come from a nice, long shower. He started loading his plate up.
Re: Monday October 16th: Morning!hannah_salixNovember 26 2007, 07:07:58 UTC
Hannah smiled at Carlisle, and smiled even wider when she realized that he had yet another present. Amazing! Hannah ignored her food to see what he'd gotten her today. As she unwrapped the present, she asked him how he was doing and if he'd had a good morning so far.
Once the gift was unwrapped, Hannah stared down at the RAINBOW HANDCUFFS that he'd given her. Oh, this was obviously some sort of wind up. She turned to him with a slightly confused look on her face. "Thank... you?"
Re: Monday October 16th: Morning!carlislerNovember 26 2007, 07:38:04 UTC
Carlisle laughed, a slight grin appearing on his lips. Yep, he kind of liked her reaction to the gift. It was sort of great. "Come on, they're rainbow!" He pointed out, figuring that was more than enough reason to be happy to have them.
Chase was starting to get a little less groggy and grumpy by now, having gone through most of the day's classes and now just gearing up for another long night. Which was why he was drinking his usual cup of tea, not wanting a repeat of that morning. Though honestly, he had given the kid a glare and if the kid didn't notice that then maybe the yelling will stop the kid from approaching him again during his breakfast. He did feel bad about it and figured he might as well apologize later. Wouldn't want to have some younger year skittish around him for the rest of the year.
But that was just time filler things. What was really important was him figuring out if going to Astronomy was worth it tonight. It was always a toss up for that class it seemed...

Frankie was starved. Hurrying into the Great Hall, she headed over to the Gryffindor table while attempting to ignore the fact that her stomach had just literally GROWLED at her for forgetting to grab lunch. Whoops! It was just... well... what she'd been doing had been SO entertaining that it had completely slipped her mind that perhaps she needed to go by the Great Hall.
So many sitting options to choose from! After a moment, she slid onto the bench next to Chase. Who, by the way, should have been a sixth year. "Hey!" She greeted, before starting to fill up her plate. SO STARVED.
Re: Monday, October 16th. Dinner.sarahgonecrazyNovember 26 2007, 21:33:01 UTC
Chase looked up and smiled at her, "Hey." And then he just proceeded to watch her as she continued to pile food onto her plate in record time. Well that's not something you see everyday. Ish.
"Hungry?" He asked before draining the rest of his tea and pouring some more into his cup. Food could wait for a few more minutes.
Re: Monday, October 16th. Dinner.franceslyNovember 26 2007, 21:36:23 UTC
"Starved!" Overdramatic Frankie so wasn't. She clearly was LITERALLY STARVING and would die any moment if she didn't get some food in her. Clearly. Now that her plate was filled (quite high) with food, she was much happier and promptly began chomping down on a sandwich.
With polite, small sized bites, obviously. Mostly. "I figured out today... forgetting to go to lunch? Not a smart thing to do."

Fuck, was the only word Tobias was able to think of at the moment. He'd been woken last night by a frantic tapping on the dorm window only to see Fiachra (his owl) hovering dangerously with a dark envelope in his talons. The Slytherin had succeeded in taking the letter without waking Carlisle and headed down to the common room to read it, not wanting to risk disturbing his roommates sleep.
Of course, after he'd opened and read the letter, there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell that Tobias was returning to his bed for sleep. The Ministry had been attacked. ATTACKED. And his father STILL hadn't heard from his mother. To say that Tobias was worried was just a slight understatement. Not to mention that the first thing he saw on the table in front of him was another fucking propaganda article in the Prophet. He skimmed it, half hoping he wouldn't find anything of significance. Then he read "Current numbers, however, put the dead at eight," and Tobias just felt nausceous

((okay. so i know we haven't BS'd them but... she's a seventh year Snake and... I don't know if she'd necessarily like him, since she seems to have a lot of bitterness towards the male species, but... she'd be civil to him as long as he didn't try to hit on her much. hah. oh yeah, she's Carlisle's cousin too

Re: Monday, October 16th, Breakfasttobias_kinsellaNovember 26 2007, 23:52:40 UTC
((he would've been constantly hitting on her since a young age. esp since she's in lucas' year ;) but yeah, he'd be civil back, if not a bit brash XD))
To be perfectly honest, Tobias hadn't even noticed there was someone next to him until she spoke. And even when she did speak, the words didn't register as words. They were just letters thrown together to make up meaningless sounds. He didn't connect the voice to anyone in particular in his head and so simply replied with a shrug. His mind was still working soundlessly on some possible way of getting into contact with his mother without getting caught.
The idea that there wasn't some way around it was something Tobias refused to accept at the moment, and right now he was considering running away to Russia, getting a Dark Mark tattoo and then return to England and take charge of the case...what? It could definitely happen.

Celeste may not have had the kindest of hearts out there, she didn't feel compassion for just anyone. Usually feelings of protectiveness, loyalty and sympathy were reserved for those she cared about most -- her closest friends and families. But there was something else within her that she wasn't always aware of: Celeste had a soft spot for those who were in her house.
And though Tobias had gotten on her nerves throughout the years by his constant hitting on her and every other pretty face that passed his way, she couldn't help but feel a pang within her at how he now looked. It was not his normal. Where was that smirk that she liked to roll her eyes at? Where was the laugh that made her smile? Where was the charm that grated on her nerves?? It was disconcerting.
He hadn't even answered her. That was a bad sign. She was wise enough to know that something was seriously wrong. But what could she do?
"Tobias?" Celeste reached out her hand to place on top of his, unsure of what his reaction would be, but she had to do something, "What'

Frankie'd woken up a little late and, instead of sitting at her own table, traipsed over to have a little chat with her brother. It was a pretty regular thing... you know, bothering her brother. It also meant she frequently annoyed him during meals.
"JAMIEKINS!" She greeted, cheerfully, as she slid onto the bench next to him and started putting food onto the plate that was awaiting her. Sure, she'd heard about the hurt and dead at the Ministry the day before but, honestly, she didn't think it could actually AFFECT her. That was just ridiculous, right? "Good Morning!"
Re: Tuesday, October 17th. Breakfast.franceslyNovember 27 2007, 00:12:37 UTC
"Yep!" Frankie replied, oh-so-cheerfully, as she continued to munch on her bacon. She idly watched the owls, munching away. Munching, munching... Merlin, today was a nice day, though. It seemed to be so far, anyhow, she hadn't gone outside to see what the weather was like yet.

The vibes around the castle weren't exactly the type that Anya was enthusiastic about. She'd heard the news about the attack at the ministry and she'd heard some rumors about family members of some of the students here who had gotten killed or injured. That... yeah, that wasn't something that she dealt well with. Death in general was not her forte. Knowing that some around her were going through the same thing she went through last year? It was kind of devastating for her

Right. Derek had felt much better after the owl from home yesterday. When he'd seen the paper it was like a sudden weight had settled in his stomach. The attackers- whoever they were- had been in Regulation of Magical Creatures. It had said so right there. His mum was fine though and luckily his dad had written right away to let him know. Derek felt better knowing his parents were safe but the whole incident still left him uneasy. It was close. No matter what anyone said, that was too close for comfort; especially after his aunt Shelby and her family earlier this year. Being Derek of course, he was trying not to show it.
Hey, it could have been worse. It was worse for plenty of people. He had no room to be freaking out. It was unsettling to have an attack on the Ministry but Derek was trying not to think about it. He'd even woken up and got some work done this morning. Look at him being productive. Anyway, now it was time for lunch before he started prepping for class

"Derek!" She flung her arms around him, squeezing him tight for a good long moment before pulling away with a smile on her face. Thank goodness he had come along to save her from some possible emoness. Now she could ignore her own thoughts and focus on him. Excellent.
Gesturing to her plate full(that she hadn't really touched that much, honestly) she stated matter of factly, "Fish and chips, of course. As if you even need to ask!" It was one of her favorite meals, after all.
"Whats up? How ya doing? How is life?" She spouted off the questions, needing to talk about something to ensure that she could ignore her mind.
Re: Tuesday, October 17th. Lunch.derek_blyDecember 2 2007, 21:09:04 UTC
Derek hugged her back and laughed as he turned to the food. The fish and chips did look good. "I'm alright," he said optimistically. "Things are going pretty well. For me. Mum didn't get into anything at work yesterday so yeah." That was all he was going to say on the matter and he passed it off as casually as he could while he reached for his own fish and chips. Of course, maybe it was selfish to act cheerful when plenty of people couldn't. SCREW THAT though. Derek was holding onto a brighter mood, thanks. And he certainly wasn't dragging Anya down. Nope. They were the perky kids today.
"What about you?" he asked, sucking a stray bit of fish breading from his thumb. "Break anymore hearts this week?"
