A DAY FOR DETENTION!rowan_foxkithNovember 21 2007, 03:13:02 UTC
Rowan had been secretly waiting for this day. A day when she got to intentionally hurt Hannah Salix. Why it just cheered her right up! She hummed a melody to herself as she walked into the classroom. She got there early, just enough so she could tell Hannah she was late. Because unless you are there at the same time a Foxkith is? You are late. At least, that's what her aunt lived by.
Boy, did she have it in store for Hannah. Boring, meaningless tasks. It was brilliant. This instead of Quidditch? She'd be miserable. Rowan let a smug smile curve at the corners of her mouth.

Hannah sighed as she walked to detention. This was going to be one horrible block of time. Oh well, at least she had Astronomy on her plate after this. Plus she'd planned to send her brother a letter, after her first detention.
"Hello Rowan," Hannah greeted as she entered the room with her bag in hand. Knowing Rowan, Hannah wouldn't have time to run up to get her books before Astronomy. Best to come prepared.

"Hello Hannah," Rowan replied, her tone even. "Would you please place your wand up here by me, on the desk? You will not be needing it here. You can have it back once detention is over."
She walked over to the far chalkboard and picked up a piece of chalk. "You are going to write lines. Cover as much space as you can, with as many lines as you can until I say you can stop," she said with authority as she waved her hand across the room. "The line is: I will not hex the Head Girl." She walked towards the younger girl and held out the piece of chalk, her face holding a genuinely malicious smile. "Understood?"

Hannah was ready to argue with Rowan about why she should have to give her wand up. Rowan couldn't do that! But then she remembered that this entire detention would be recorded in her letter to Gabe. "Sure thing," she said with a grin. Yep, Hannah was on her BEST behaviour tonight. Except that she'd asked Anora to stop by midway through... in case of emergency.
No matter, Hannah suppressed a sigh and an eyeroll before accepting the chalk. "Yep, no problem at all." And so she started to write, making sure she started at the very top corner so that Rowan wouldn't randomly pick at her for not covering as much space as she could.
