Friday, October 6th - AFTER DINNER. EVENING 1.franceslyOctober 30 2007, 03:58:37 UTC
Frankie was excited. Why was Frankie excited? It was the weekend! Frankie love, love, loved the weekend. There was also a teensy tiny chance that she was on a sugar buzz from too much candy. Whoops! Sitting down on the couch (LADY-LIKE, mind you), Frankie popped another sweet into her mouth.

CeCe wandered down the stairs from the dormitories, the newest copy of "Witch Weekly" in her hand. Sometimes it paid to have a sister who was the Junior Editor of the magazine.
Spotting a familiar blonde, she sat down across from her in a comfy chair. "Hey Frankie," she said politely. It was hard not to not think of Jamie when she saw his sister, it was only natural to associate them. For a quick moment she frowned, then flipped open the magazine.
"How are you?" she asked, glancing at an ad for new fall fashions.

"Hi, CeCe." Ooh, Witch Weekly. A copy she hadn't seen yet. Hopefully, she'd recieve her copy soon enough! It wouldn't do to have to go asking to look at someone else's. Frankie, quite comfortable and a tad envious, smiled over at CeCe.
"I'm pretty darn good, if I do say so myself." Mostly because she'd had an excellent day so far and... well, far too much sugar. "How are you?" Sometimes, she had no idea whether she was supposed to be feeling a bit of dislike for a person because sometimes she didn't have a clue what was going on with her brother.

"That's good to hear," CeCe replied, flipping to another page. "I'm doing alright. Life is life, I guess." She let out a sigh and glanced up, giving the younger girl a weak smile. She wasn't in super high spirits today. It was a strange mix of anger and hurt that ruled her since this afternoon. Oh, wait... The past month.

Hmm. New and exciting? Frankie would hate to admit that her days had been sorely lacking of anything new or exciting, as she preferred to be someone known for that sort of thing.
"Mmm, nope!" Ugh, what a terribly dull response. "I'm just enjoying being a sixth year. Not that much different from last year, aside from having less classes and more free time." Hmm. No time like the present to pry into Jamie's life, right?

"Well now you're in your NEWT classes, and that's important," she nodded, with a more sincere smile. It was hard to not like Frankie.
At the mention of the Halloween dance, CeCe bit her lip. "Er... Yeah, about that. I don't, but I'm sure I'll find someone or I'll just take someone random." CeCe shrugged. "What about you? Any charming boys catching your fancy?" She was definitely willing to take the conversation off her.

"One or two, although I wouldn't necessarily use the word charming." Granted, Frankie always had her eye on one or two blokes. Not that anything usually came of it, but she generally had at least one crush going on. And now, to return the topic of conversation to what Frankie wanted to discuss...
"So, my brother's been too much of a fool to ask?" Yes, she could insult her brother. No, nobody else could. And, to tell the truth, she didn't actually think he was a fool for not asking. She didn't know enough of what was going on to have a solid opinion on things! However, it seemed safer to insult her brother than insult CeCe. She felt she might be able to get more information that way.

"Anyone I know?" she asked, genuinely curious.
CeCe raised her eyebrows a bit at Frankie's question. "Uh, well... It's complicated." She said simply. Plus, right now if she saw him she'd want to punch him in the face.

"Maybe," Frankie replied, with a mysterious smile. She had no intentions of revealing her current crushes, due to the fact that they were only brief, usually. Her plan for the Halloween dance was to find someone that would make her brother's head explode. That would be awful fun.
"It's complicated?" She arched an eyebrow at that. Now, she was definitely intrigued.

CeCe bit her lip again. "Yeah. It's... well. I don't know what even to think anymore. I hate to have to say this to you, but your brother can be a prat sometimes, and that makes him...difficult. It's a long story." She let out a sigh.
It's been a very long story, and she didn't really feel like she wanted to tell Frankie everything. She was rather close with her brother, wasn't she? Jamie was already saying crazy things about her to Hannah. He didn't need to know any of her feelings on the matter. It was best to keep quiet. Right?

Hmm. A prat? Ignoring the fact that she knew this to be true, Frankie felt a bit of indignation on her brother's behalf. She didn't allow it to show on her face, instead giving CeCe a sympathetic look. This small bit of information simply made Frankie even more curious as to what the bloody hell was going on between them.
"Long stories are generally the most interesting ones," Frankie informed CeCe, shrugging.
