Broom slung over his shoulder, Ramsey cheerfully jogged onto the Quidditch pitch. He was feeling much better now that Bridget was back safe and finally able to leave St. Mungo's. That he'd finally made the regular team didn't his mood either. This was it, after all - the year that he was finally going to make something of himself on the team! He had a position and he finally had a broom that wasn't half bad.

Cody had retrieved his broom back from Naia. He had carefully checked it over, making sure no twigs were bent -- she didn't know the first thing about brooms, in Cody's opinion, and now she was the Ravenclaw seeker? Cody was incredulous, and he rolled his eyes.

((Christ, didn't even see this one. Thanks for that, Mandeh! :P))
Tobias strolled out of the dressing rooms, arching an eyebrow at the sight of the two younger lads standing idly about. Where the fuck was everyone else? "Why're you just standing there?" He demanded, swinging his leg over his own broom. "Get in the air and warm up, dammit."
With these supportive words, Tobias shot up into the sky and began to lap the pitch on his broom. He wasn't about to let this practice run overtime because some stupid kids couldn't get the motivation to warm themselves up. It was great that they were were on time (early even!), but to think that they were going to contentedly wait there for someone to issue instructions? Tobias wasn't impressed. Now where was that stupid bint of a captain?

[Jewel and Crystal are on hiatus, so... it's just us! Wee, we are speshulz ^^; ]
...why oh why couldn't someone else've tried out for Keeper? Ramsey knew he was lucky, having two of his closest friends on the team, but why the heck did Kinsella have to still be on it too? Ramsey glanced at Cody and rolled his eyes before mounting his broom. Coming closer to the other Chaser he dropped his voice to mutter, "Don't see why Kinsella's so uppity. I say we aim for his head when we've finally got a Quaffle to play with."
Re: Slytherin Practice - Monday, Sept. 18th.cody_nelsonOctober 2 2007, 04:40:01 UTC
Cody had taken to the sky with Ramsey. "He's uppity because he's delusional," he muttered, but laughed at Ramsey's suggestion. "I don't suppose we can take a try at being beater, and he can be the chaser," said Cody.

Tobias grinned to himself as the pair followed him into the sky. They appeared to know their place, and that was most certainly a good thing. He'd worried that the lot of them would've gained some sort of an ego by getting older. Then they'd just be utter prats who he wouldn't be prepared to deal with. Honestly, egotistical maniacs were just not the type he liked to associate with. One was enough in the school, and Lucas had the area of 'ego' covered. Especially now that Colin and Alex had left. Smirk.
He continued flying laps, oblivious to the plotting going on behind him. Tobias had a tendancy of falling most first practices, he sincerely hoped that tradition could be avoided for this year. It wasn't even vaguely funny anymore, it wasn't even embarassing, it was just plain annoying.
Re: Slytherin Practice - Monday, Sept. 18th.garlick_ratOctober 3 2007, 00:42:15 UTC
Ramsey, on the other hand, had every intention of "accidentally" knocking Kinsella from his broom as many times as possible. Because, well. The other boy was a prat. Sure, Ramsey tried to be on his best behaviour most of the time, but sometimes there had to be exceptions for the best behaviour rule. This was one of those cases. Most all other cases in Ramsey's book involved someone with the surname Devlin, so really, Kinsella should feel... special? Yes.
Sighing, he completed another lap around the pitch. Hopefully Destruere would show up soon...
Re: Slytherin Practice - Monday, Sept. 18th.cody_nelsonOctober 3 2007, 00:48:10 UTC
After his final warm up lap, Cody swooped and landed on the ground to pick up the quaffle. He returned to the sky, but instead of handing it to Ramsey, he threw it up in the air, dove under Ramsey, and caught it again on the other side. It would never work in a game situation, but because Ramsey was hovering, it was a fun maneuver. Without a captain, who was there to say they couldn't practice their tricks?
When Cody caught it again, he tossed the Quaffle to Ramsey. He smiled, shrugged, and pointed with his head towards Kinsella.

Tobias ignored the younger two and their tricks. He wasn't impressed. He stalled in front of the hoops and stared down at the grounds. Where was everyone? This wasn't exactly the start he'd been hoping to make this quidditch season.
"Alright ladies," Tobias began, turning to face the two again. "Shall we start with a passing drill? Pass between yourselves five times and then come at me for a shot. Take it easy to begin with!" He untied his gloves from the top of his broom and pulled them on, grateful for the added warmth around his fingers. The others could join in when they felt fit, he supposed. Lazy bastards.
Re: Slytherin Practice - Monday, Sept. 18th.garlick_ratOctober 3 2007, 22:46:37 UTC
Who died and left Kinsella in charge? Just because he was older didn't mean he was automatically in charge, Ramsey though petulantly as he caught the Quaffle. He glanced at Cody, raising his eyebrows. Practice was all about the learning experience, right? And how could you learn if you knew what to expect and when to expect it?
Really, he was doing the Keeper a favor, Ramsey decided as he took aim and threw the Quaffle at Kinsella's head (though it might have been his chest - it was hard to tell the difference, what with Kinsella's head being so swollen and all). "Oops, hand slipped," he said apologetically to Cody.
Re: Slytherin Practice - Monday, Sept. 18th.cody_nelsonOctober 3 2007, 23:37:26 UTC
"I counted five passes," said Cody, smirking in collusion. "Nothing to worry about, mate." He flew towards the hoops to retrieve the ball so that they could try again.
Re: Slytherin Practice - Monday, Sept. 18th.tobias_kinsellaOctober 4 2007, 21:36:34 UTC
Tobias ducked awkwardly as the quaffle suddenly came flying toward his head. Once he realised he'd managed to avoid being hit, his head snapped up from the broom. "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?" He bellowed across the pitch. Tobias had positioned himself carefully to the right of the hoops as he geared up. He was quite obviously unprepared. "Tosspot," He muttered to himself, ignoring Cody as he returned his attentions to tying his gloves.
Sure, three people wasn't much for a practice. But as vice captain, Tobias certainly felt it was his responsibility to get the team up and running even if Bella wasn't in the mood for it.
Re: Slytherin Practice - Monday, Sept. 18th.garlick_ratOctober 4 2007, 21:49:22 UTC
"Five passes, then we take a shot at you," Ramsey called innocently, parroting Kinsella's words back at him as he flew down to catch the missed Quaffle. "Hope you don't dodge like that during matches. Would be a shame if the opposition got a goal just because you want to preserve your charming good looks."
Flying up again, Ramsey tossed the ball to Cody. Practice was actually starting to look up today.
Re: Slytherin Practice - Monday, Sept. 18th.cody_nelsonOctober 5 2007, 03:59:31 UTC
Seeing that Ramsey had a better chance at catching the ball, Cody backed off, and put himself further down the field so that they could pass as they flew, which is something they probably needed practice on. Cody caught the quaffle as Ramsey threw it, having to reach a bit far, but it was caught soundly.
"Play nice?" asked Cody, intending a bit of sarcasm.
Re: Slytherin Practice - Monday, Sept. 18th.tobias_kinsellaOctober 6 2007, 19:53:41 UTC
Tobias didn't hear Ramsey's comment and flew into position, centered between the three hoops. He watched the pair start passing between themselves and raised his hands in preparation for the shot.
Admittedly, Tobias was a bit out of practice. He'd neglected training for the last week at home because of his mother and father wanting him to continue with his extreme transfiguration lessons and practices. The entire night before returning to school had been spent as a ferret, it was not an experience he wanted to have to do ever again without good reason. As the young pair approached, Tobias cracked his knuckles within the gloves and locked his eyes onto the quaffle. Left or right, left or right?
