Jojo was hanging around the common room, in search of Calie as usual. He'd studied during lunch, preferring to make use of the empty hour lunch gave him. It was getting ridiculous in there, he was going to have to find somewhere else to go.
He smiled as he saw Danielle enter the room. "Hello there, you 18 year old you!" Jojo greeted with a laugh. "Where've you been?"

Danielle dragged herself into the Common Room. Wasn't like she had much else to do. She smiled slightly as she noticed Jojo.
"Jojo! I've been..." she paused. Where had she been? "I made a friend," she said cheerilly, a little proud of herself. "Well, I think I made a friend," she added nervously. "What about you? Busy with your girlfriend?" she resisted the urge to wiggle her eyebrows at the word 'busy.' She reminded herself that talking about Von to Jojo would probably put her friend in a bad situation. So she focused on the positive.

A friend? Jojo smirked. Yeah, like he didn't know exactly who she was talking about. He couldn't keep up with them anymore. Crazy people. "Well, it's nice to see you again," He laughed, standing to give her a hug. A birthday hug, if you will. Sure, it wasn't quite her birthday anymore, but STILL.
"Calie is good, I think. I don't get to see her that much, it...it fairly sucks," Jojo admitted with a small shrug, sitting back down again. He patted the couch for her to sit next to him. "How's your friend?"

Danielle's eyes narrowed slightly. "A friend. Ashleigh. My roommate? I've known her for seven years but we started talking more. See? A friend." She returned the hug happilly and settled onto the couch where he indicated.
"The other one," she hunched a little in her seat, clasping her hands in front of her. "Is... a bit more of a problem." With a sigh, she leaned back and shifted into the couch.

Jojo smirked. "Oh, I see. So, really you're telling me that you've made two friends?" He teased, poking her arm when she sat down. Yes, Jojo could be quite the child when he wanted to be. It wasn't hard. Especially when he currently was not studying! Huzzah!
He raised an eyebrow, that didn't sound good. Oh, Merlin, here they go again, he thought with a mental facepalm. "A problem, how?"

She smiled a little at his teasing. "Yes, apparently turning 18 made me this social butterfly," she noted sarcastically. "The whole career fair thing was nice; I saw Ashleigh and her boyfriend there. I don't think he likes me that much." Something about her female friends' (friend's?) boyfriends made them dislike her. She didn't recall Nic's boyfriend being particularly warm to her either.
"I just... he's..." she sighed. "He says he can't be close to me. Or, well, or he doesn't know if we can just be friends. Or something. I don't know," she protested miserably. "I don't know." She leaned on Jojo with another long sigh.

"Yeah, Godric was getting worried. He made a call," Jojo explained, laughing a little. Ashleigh was with...Ed? Right? "You mean Ed? He's alright, sound enough," He commented, shrugging a little. They didn't really talk all that much, Ed was a little too Quidditchy for Jojo to talk straight with.
He sighed. Yup, that sounded like Von. "I dunno what to tell ya, love," Jojo replied as honestly as he could. "Von and I haven't been on the best of terms recently, dunno why exactly. Think we're just going in different directions. Maybe it's the same for you?"

"I don't know... Ed just looks at me weird. Ever since Ashleigh and I started practicing DADA together. S'odd. Wonder if he heard about Nic and me in the bathroom or something..." she frowned. That would be awkward. "Stupid walls with their stupid ears and mouths," she muttered.
"But... I don't want to go in a different direction," she close-to-whined. "I like Von. I just can't handle him right now. And I'm not sure what he wants. Well, no, I think I do. But I can't..." she stared at her clenched hands.

"That's just silly," Jojo assured, messing up her hair for her. There, now wasn't that much better? He scruffed up his own hair before she could get at it and grinned cheekily at the girl. He didn't want to say, oh, that sounds like Ed. But it did. He was meant to be pretty protective, but what did it matter if he thought that? He'd just have to get over it, wouldn't he?
He frowned a little, stroking the girls head absently despite just messing up her hair for her. "So don't," He said quietly, staring down at the girl just a little confused. Obviously, Jojo had completely lost track of all this. "Just, do what you think will make you happy," He shrugged."

"Hey," she protested mildly. Reaching up, she messed up his already messed up hair. Because she felt compelled to do something in response. "Von found out," she muttered. "S'not like I go around snogging all the girls I find in the bathrooms," she complained. "Not only would that make me a whore, but I wouldn't have the time."
"Well, I like him, and it'll make me happy if I do..." she searched for an appropriate word. "Whatever with him. But it's not good in the long run for him because... you know. And I'm not mature or any of that crap."

He chuckled a little before hearing her answer, then his face dropped slightly. Though, he was still amused. "No, but one can gain a reputation quite easily around here," He reminded, laughing at her reasons for not snogging everyone. What great reasons. Not enough time, Jojo loved it.
Sigh. These two were too bloody complicated for their own good. "I don't know what to tell you," Jojo said honestly, opening his palms to further show how he had no clue. "You should figure it out with him though, then you can get over stressing over it!" Yay easy sounding solutions!
((Heya, um..not sure how many more I can do. I'm heading off in about an hour, so I suspect I won't be able to reply much =/ Sorry hon! I'm glad we got this much though ♥ ))

"True, true. Just some are more deserving of the rep than others." Danielle was definitely not beyond gossiping. "I'm pretty sure I'm not... I went a little crazy after... two years ago," she corrected. No blaming Von. "But I'm better now!"
"He doesn't..." she fiddled with her fingers. "he doesn't want to be close to me anymore. Doesn't think it'll work out for either of us if we don't commit to something or some such like that." She grimaced. "Can't work it out." But the solution sounded nice and reasonable (very Jojo, Danielle noted inwardly) so she gave him a pat on the knee to show she appreciated the sentiment. "If we weren't so crazy it'd totally work."
He smiled as he saw Danielle enter the room. "Hello there, you 18 year old you!" Jojo greeted with a laugh. "Where've you been?"
