It was the day of the big game. Breakfast was in order, right? And not just an apple, no Jesse had to eat real food today. He groaned slightly. He wasn't really a breakfast person. He also was really not a social person, the great hall involved people, he didnt like people. People looked at him funny.

A very bitter look on his face he sat down at the very end of the gryffindor table at the back of the great hall, and put a crumpet on his plate. Well, at least he didn't have to worry about seeing Jul here.

Zak was having nightmares again. The stupid pensieve thing wasn't working like he'd thought it would. Obviously he'd misunderstood the point of it. Grumbling about not sleeping, Zak dropped onto the bench and swung his legs around easily. And if the lack of sleep wasn't enough? This 6th year still looked like a complete prat with the Gryffindor hat of tassles and sparkles sitting on his head. That bloody Slytherin gave it some sort of sticking charm and Zak wasn't prepared to face whatever pain was sure to come with removing it.

"Morning," He muttered as he reached for the sausages. Unlike Jesse, if he was awake on time, Zak was a very big fan of breakfast. A big fry was what he'd need for the day and then he'd be ready to go. Ravenclaw were going down, there was no doubt about it.

Jesse glanced up and couldn't help but smile. That hat was ridiculous, and still there, and it made Jesse smile every time he saw it. "Isn't that uncomfortable to sleep in?" he asked cheekily as he put some jam on him crumpet.

"Don't sleep," Zak replied smartly giving him a wink that would hopefully convey it was a joke. But given the dark rings around his eyes and the bloodshot lines that were creeping into view, it was obvious that he really wasn't sleeping. The Gryffindor didn't help the matter by following this statement by reaching for a mug of coffee.

He glanced around and frowned at Jesse's crumpet. "Is that all you're going to be eating, Martin?" Zak demanded in disgust as he piled on a few helpings of scrambled egg. He couldn't have an underfed partner!

Monday, February 20th - Lunch derek_bly December 5 2006, 06:59:30 UTC
Well, nice day wasn't it? Derek had finished his essay in any case and it seemed to be time for food. Why was it that Mondays had to be so bloody boring?

With a sigh, Derek dropped into a seat at the Claw table and started collecting food. His stint of avoiding his house table was over for now. Darin and Taylor were entertaining and all but Derek was a little beyond needing to hide; and the twins didn't look like they were here. Besides, in the wake of Ravenclaw's spectacular Quidditch loss, eating somewhere else felt like abandoning the ship or something. Derek's brain was an odd place sometimes. Really though, none of that factored in because Derek was simply bored but feeling none too creative, which left him to follow routine mindlessly and sit where he normally sat.

Tim had woken up just in time for lunch -- since he didn't have any classes on Monday mornings, he felt obliged to sleep in late. His bag was slung over his shoulder, containing all the books he needed for the rest of the day. Heading for the Ravenclaw table, he spotted Derek and sat across from him, waving. Between the match on Saturday and his issues with Hannah, Tim figured he couldn't be in all that great of a mood. Which was why he neglected to mention he'd let Hannah in the boys' dorm after the match.

"Afternoon, mate.." he greeted, starting in on his lunch.

Derek nodded at his roommate mid-bite. Company. Excellent. Not that Derek was kind of out of sorts and inexplicably restless lately. Nope. That odd sense that someone else should be around to fill the time was getting old and Derek was still being pretty good about dismissing it as nothing more than craziness. "Slept in did you?"

Normally that would have been Derek in bed until noon. Well, he got things done this morning, didn't he? It was hard to sleep late when you went to bed early. He was really going to have to find things to do with his time other than schoolwork.

"Yeah," he answered with a nod. Of course, Tim had been up last night finishing up his own homework so that he didn't have to wake up in the morning to do so. He could put up with the pillow throwing and the late night talking if he could sleep until eleven and make up for it.

"So how are you doing?" It seemed like a question with an obvious answer; but really, Tim was kind of concerned with everything that happened recently, and besides, he never claimed he was good at making conversation.

Wednesday Feb 22nd - Ravenclaw Table LUNCH raven_annabelle December 12 2006, 23:57:39 UTC
Ethan Tibble wasn't feeling quite so hungry today, but that didn't stop him from filling up his plate to the brim. After all, he was a growing boy. Or at least, that's what his mother told him.

That morning, he'd gotten an owl from his parents. It was a nice surprise, talking about the family and everything. Now though, he was more intent on finishing his food and getting to the library to find a book.

Lunch? Cassie was very excited about lunch. A break from classes, delicious food...well, meals were good. And it was Wednesday, so lunch meant the week was already half over, and clearly that was a good thing.

Cassie skipped into the Great Hall and plopped down next to Ethan.

"Hello!" she said cheerfully, spooning food onto her plate. As if she hadn't just been in class with him, but whatever.

"Hey Cassie!" Ethan perked up. He liked to have people to eat lunch with, and Cassie always had an interesting topic to discuss.

"I got a letter from home today. Mum sent me some chocolates!"

Wednesday February 22nd, morning at the PUFF table genuinebaker December 13 2006, 00:41:41 UTC
((randomly, I still go WHAT? I HAVE A PUFF?!))

Ben was trudging to the Hufflepuff table. He did not like mornings, and had a thing against Wednesday mornings. But that was okay, as this morning he hadn't seen his sister so far, so that was good.

Sitting down, he dove into his breakfast. Yep, food was the only good thing about mornings.

Bess literally skipped into the Great Hall that morning, whistling a random tune. No, she had no reason to be in a good mood; she was just bouncy, as usual. For a moment, she stopped to look around at the Gryffindor table, and, seeing as there was no one she wanted to sit with, she scampered over to the Hufflepuff table and instantly plopped down across from her brother.

"Hi Ben!" she greeted. "I see your daaaate's not with you. How'd that go, anyway? Did you scare her off? Did you say something stupid?"

Maible was not very far behind her dormmate as she headed into the Great Hall for some breakfast. She was just about ready to claim a seat at her house table when she spotted Bess at the Puff table and decided to go see what was going on over there.

"Hey, Ben, Bess," she greeted them both quietly, nodding to a nearby empty seat as if to ask if it was alright for her to join them. She didn't want to intrude or anything.

Friday February 24, Dinner - near entrance jul_agate December 19 2006, 22:26:48 UTC
It'd been working out pretty well. Jul would wait for Jesse and they'd have lunch or dinner together. He'd make sure she'd stop fidgeting in her paranoid state long enough to eat and for that brief moment in time Jul felt that her and Jesse were good (or perhaps even better than good).

But the waiting for him. Nervously pacing in and out, around of the great hall...she was scared she'd see that Ferdy girl. Or Eliza, Or Hannah... Jul bit her lip and paced a bit more. She couldn't figure out the whole thing since Anora didn't try to kill her and she hadn't talked much to Derek although it looked like the two of them were back together..

She just wished Jesse would get there soon.

Hannah sighed as she wandered to Dinner. Why had today been so weird? Oh yes, because she was Hannah. And she had yet to see Derek outside of class, which was growing more and more troublesome. Well, not really... probably not. Things were GOOD now, so... yeah.

Who knew anymore? Hannah turned the corner and almost bumped into Jul. She barely avoided her, and had ended up looking her in the eye before she was about to apologize. Oh great, it was Jul. She stood there, and did NOT apologize. But... instead said nothing. Yeah, that'll show her.

When Jul fidgeted she tended not to notice her surroundings much instead zoning out while she obsessed.
And then she ran into Hannah...of course she didn't realize it was Hannah and the words "I'm Sorry.." had already made their way out of her mouth before she closed it and stared back at her.

"Oh...um...Hannah..." It'd been a month ago when they'd fought and Jul could barely remember the details anymore. Sure she knew it was cause Hannah was prefect and she wasn't. And She still was pretty upset about the whole thing and was pretty sure Hannah had said something about how she was better for it anyway.

With that she regained full awareness of why she was mad at Hannah. Yeah, she definitely wasn't going to move now, why should she.

Hannah kept standing there, not looking away from Jul. "So, how've you been lately? Having some good times? I'm sure you are." Hannah didn't really know what was going on in Jul's life, except a random conversation she'd had with Jesse when she told him to be honest with Jul. And then had later found out that Jul was apparently all on DEREK'S side during the break up.

Which was stupid of her, because now that they were back together... Hannah was just more annoyed.
