Faintly woozy from good fic
I've been reading The Sustain Series on AO3 and am faintly woozy from the combination of revelation and drama that is the most recent chapter.
The story is not at all Season 2 compliant and bucks the prevailing trend of a Sherlock/John pairing, but it's ... well-voiced, is the phrase I want to use. The voices are all exactly right. And the more you learn about Sherlock's family, the more inevitable everything seems.
And there's sex. Lots of it. Good sex. And enough going on, enough mythology, for both Sherlock and the world he inhabits, that you won't be surprised to learn that maybe_amanda and onemillionnine were excellent X-Files authors.
I have been embarrassing myself on AO3 with long meta-laden comments.
So I wanted to report: I'm woozily overexcited, full of ideas and speculation, eager to talk about all this with someone. For now I have grounded myself with ice cream. I hope everyone else is having a good evening.
