It was time to get off of this island, that was all there was too it. Perhaps she shouldn't wait for an assignment from her new patrons. The Ashworths were paying her well enough. Something told her they would so much as bat an eye if she said she was going to find something to do with herself elsewhere. Hell, that was probably the best way to dig up interesting prizes for them. Get herself lost in a lovely villa somewhere and stumble on local history. Sounded like a plan to Lenore. Get far away from all of the madness descending on this side of the Channel.
Take care of yourself because no one else will.
The mentions of sickness around the school unsettled her. Lenore felt as though nothing was an accident anymore. Even if it was what it probably was, the occasional large scale spread of sickness amongst an admittedly sick prone population, she didn't like it. Too many bad things were going on. It should have been listed under her reasons to go but for some reason it made her hesitate. There were Callum and Geoffrey to worry about. That was ridiculous though. Her staying or going made no difference in their health and being adults they were probably fine. Though one professor was sick already...
Lenore shook it off. None of it mattered. Perhaps she'd try to see Callum before she left. Talk to him and see if he didn't want to be whisked away for a weekend or something. Lenore breathed a laugh and shook her head, mocking her own wandering thoughts. Anyway, perhaps there was something to be seen in Diagon, some small trinket or book that would hold her attention for awhile before she left; or while she was reclining in that villa waiting for something worth investigating to find her. Maybe a new robe. Indeed.
