Sept. 22nd - The Hog's Head - Evening punkervon September 26 2007, 17:22:57 UTC
Von was sitting at a table in the corner, Dr. Who scarf wrapped about his neck still for warmth. He didn't know how long he'd be here after all, no reason to undress. It was odd to be out of Liverpool and back in Hogsmeade, but it was a warm kind of oddness. The dark-haired young man sipped a beer, waiting for one Geoffrey Chandler to come through the door.

He'd left his son in the care of his mother for one day -- Von's mother of course, not Ezra's. Jacqueline had nothing to do with either of their lives now, and it was just as well.

In actuality, Geoffrey had been in the pub for some time, seeing to a business matter with a man in a very large, very hairy, very odd cloak. Having finished up with that, he glanced about the pub, spotted Von in the corner, and slipped into a seat beside him.

"Career choices, eh? Thought you'd decided to go with Auror training?" he said, not even bothering to start off with pleasantries.

Von laughed. "I wanted to," he said. "Now I think I don't want to be involved with our... government." He drained his beer and set the glass down, leaning back in his chair. "I've also got to think about finances, savvy?"

Although, admittedly -- it was odd talking to Geoffrey now that the man was a teacher. "It's possible you've turned straight though, hey?" He eyed the blond. "Teaching?"

"Well, I have to agree with you on the government bit," Geoffrey said with a sigh. "Though I know the man in charge of the Aurors, and he's a good bloke, if a bit... Well. He doesn't think much of me, but what what can you do?" He shrugged. Mac would have his peculiarities, after all.

"Yes, yes, teaching. Not by choice, more by... well. Cunning words and application of very good wine on Dumbledore's part." The corners of his mouth twitched at Von's comment of his going 'straight' - it certainly seemed like he had, after recent events.
