Ashleigh had her hands on the arms that were wrapped around her middle and she was leaning into him.

"Mmmm, we'll have to take sickeningly cute pictures to go into some of those frames," she smiled.

Today, had been a long day. They'd shopped and gathered some of their things. It was insane what all Ed could do in a day if he really set his mind to it.

She'd had a smug moment while gathering some of her things from her parents' house. Her mother had been telling her that she and Ed would never get an apartment so it was nice to smile politely as she took a few of the boxes that she'd been packing since the start of summer.

Of course, she'd cried when she hugged her father goodbye. Somehow, it felt like she was walking out on him... like she was leaving him to live with the monster on his own. For a split second, she'd almost wanted to beg him to come along... but even Daddy's girls had to grow up, right?

Now, though, these thoughts were farthest from her mind. She was happy. Completely and utterly happy. Nothing else really mattered as long as she was wrapped in Ed's arms like this.

"I feel like I'm forgetting something," she mused quietly as she went over the list of important things - toothbrush, hairbrush and other daily needed grooming products. Who knew what she was forgetting but she couldn't quite shake the feeling.

Ed had, of course, waited patiently while Ashleigh said her goodbyes to her parents. Her father, at least, was given a cordial invitation to stop by anytime and he'd laughed and reminded Ash that she could apparate back for a visit anytime she liked.

"Mmmm,,, you are," he replied, pulling her in for a soft, loving kiss. "You're forgetting to relax and be happy." He couldn't help teasing her, because it wasn't like they couldn't easily get anything she did forget.

Besides, he really did want her to take a moment to relax and just enjoy this.

Ashleigh looked over her shoulder at him with a smile. "I'm happy," she assured him with a nod. "I'm, really, very happy... and relaxed too."

She turned in his arms so that she could wrap her arms around him. "How could I not be happy... this is all I've thought about for weeks."

As if to prove her point, she leaned forward and pressed her lips to his. "You make me so happy, love."

Ed grinned and pressed his lips to her forehead.

"Then stop stressing," he teased her gently. "Take a breath and stop worrying about if you've forgotten anything and just enjoy this, yeah?"

He smiled against her lips as she kissed him and he deepened it slightly. "You make me happy, too, Ash," he whispered, "I love you."

Ashleigh smiled and nodded. Ed was right, after all. Not that she'd ever really thought he was wrong... ever. Sure, he wasn't always perfect but he was so close in her eyes that it was hard to tell the difference.

Blind love... what a thing.

"I love you, too," she whispered, wrapping her arms around his shoulders and pulling him into a tight hug.

She pressed her forehead into his shoulder and just stood there for a moment. This was her... not stressing and enjoying it. At least, it was until her stomach growled loudly. "I'm hungry," she mumbled into his chest as she looked up at him with a smile.

Ed chuckled softly as she mentioned hunger. She was so cute the way she was looking up at him. Then again, Ashleigh was pretty much always cute. Ed thought so anyway.

"We could order in, get some takeout," he suggested. Something about the idea of relaxing in their new flat while they ate sounded really appealing to him.

Ashleigh grinned brightly up at him and his idea. "Chinese?" she asked. "Plinky looks at me like I'm insane when I beg her to make eggrolls. She says that she doesn't understand why I'd like cabbage made into a roll like that and the she talks about how it should be a 'cabbageroll' not an 'eggroll'."

Eating in really did sound like a great plan. She could put on something comfy and they could cuddle on the floor and feed one another lo mein.

Ed laughed affectionately and nodded. "If you want chinese, that's what we'll have, love," he assured her, pressing a quick kiss to the top of her head. She was so cute with all her little cravings and he had to admit that did sound good.

"Why don't you order and I'll hook up the telly and find us a film to watch?"

Ed didn't like many Muggle things, but television and DVDs was definitely of of them. And a night in with a video and some take-out sounded perfect.

Ashleigh nodded and grinned. Yet another brilliant idea!

The telly was, really, a great Muggle contraption. Ed had introduced her to it over the summer and she'd, easily, gotten lost in it for an hour or two. The movie pictures and plot lines... it was sort of like a lazy man's book if you were watching the right thing.

The phone, however, that was a little more complicated. Sure, he'd explained the contraption to her but it wasn't like she'd ever had a reason to use the damned thing. She owled her closest friends. Other than Taylor, she didn't even know if her other friends had phones and it wasn't like she was going to call him from Ed's house.

"Okay," she agreed, moving into the kitchen to use the phone there. It wasn't like she wanted to use the one where he could see. What if she screwed it up?

After looking through the phone book, she held her finger under the number and picked up the receiver. It made an annoying noise but she slowly punched in the number in the book.

Certain that Ed was preoccupied and couldn't see her, she did a bit of a victory wiggle when the person on the other end said the name of the Chinese place she'd called.

After composing herself, slightly, she ordered her favorites -plenty of egg rolls and two extra fortune cookies- then ordered things for Ed as well.

Maybe this phone thing wasn't so awful after all.

Ed had popped in a DVD by the time she came back - some form of romantic comedy, because he knew Ash loved them - and he was settled on their sofa and waiting for her.

"Happy new flat, love," he murmured, pulling her into a deep kiss the second she was close enough for him to do so.

Ashleigh slid onto the sofa, almost into his lap, as they kissed.

Happy new flat, indeed.

She couldn't remember a time where she'd been happier and it showed on every inch of her. Her smile... some might even swear that she was glowing.

When their lips parted, she smiled. "Thirty minutes," she announced. "They wont be here for another thirty minutes. We might as well... pass the time... don't want them interrupting the movie."

With that, she pressed her lips back to his in another deep kiss.

Something told her that they were going to be doing this even more than normal now that they had a flat all to themselves.

Ed laughed at Ashleigh's comment, though that laugh was cut off when she kissed him again and his lips were turned up in a smile as he returned the kiss. His hands moved through her hair as they kissed and he definitely had no problem with this kind of use in their time.

All his worries about getting into the Aurors vanished when she kissed him like that and he felt this was definitely a good way to celebrate their first night in their flat.

"I love you," he murmured breathlessly when they parted again. Ashleigh wasn't the only one in the room who was so happy. Ed? He was happier than he'd ever dreamed possible.

Ashleigh hadn't had time to worry about whether they would get jobs at the Ministry yet. They'd been so busy with getting ready to move and then moving. She'd also had to deal with her mother and father.

She'd worry later. Right now, she was going to bask.

"I love you, too," she murmured in return, before trailing her lips along his jaw. "Have I told you that you make me insanely happy, today?"

She was slightly distracted with the gentle kisses she was pressing along his jaw and over his cheek but she meant what she was saying.

Basking sounded good, definitely. Ed was right there with her on that and the being happy and he was definitely going to take some time, now, to enjoy this whole new flat with his girlfriend thing.

"Mmmm, not in the last five minutes, I don't think," he murmured, feeling a bit distracted himself as he let his lips brush over her jaw. It was a lazy sort of kiss, the kind that wasn't really headed anywhere.. at least, not yet.

Cuddling and kissing and waiting for food to be delivered in a place that was 100% theirs? Yeah, this was nice.

Oh, no, Ashleigh definitely wasn't pushing for more with the lazy, loving kisses that she was pressing along his jaw.

She wanted to stop the food delivery person from interrupting a movie... she certainly wasn't wanting to let them interrupt even more.

"You do, you know."

She pulled back a moment and gave him a genuine smile. After the briefest of moments, she dipped her head to give him another kiss but the bell to their flat rang before she could do as much.

"They are early," she informed him with a smirk as she waited for him to go get the door.

"Good," he mumbled, getting more than a little distracted from talking with the other things her lips were doing. He turned his face to catch her lips in a brief kiss and when she pulled back to smile at him, he returned that with a happy grin of his own.

He groaned when another kiss was interrupted by the sound of the buzzer, because, oh, how he didn't want to get up to answer their door when there was an Ashleigh to be kissing, but he pressed a quick kiss to her cheek and pushed himself off of the sofa anything, standing and walking to the door.

Food in hand and paid for, he returned to the sofa, dropping the bags on the coffee table and taking a moment to get back to that whole kissing his girlfriend thing before he pulled away to unpack the food. "Do you think you got us enough food, love?" he teased lovingly when he noticed how much they had.
