Brief update of my life recently-
I'm in London now. I've written two of my three papers which are all due on July 7th. Got the grade back for Shoah- I have a 92 in the class which I think is a regular A at Haifa because they have a weird scale. Too bad this doesn't go into my GPA. Must email Zalman to ask if he got my paper, there's been to reply.
Eric was supposed to get here on Saturday but I found out a week ago that he's not able to come after all. It's a very long story but has to do with the fact that he's transfering from NYU to Georgetown and found out that Georgetown would give him zero credit for the summer program he was coming to participate in. The decision came down that it would be a waste to spend $10,000 for the summer and get nothing for it when he could be earning money. I'm bummed that I don't get to see him but there's always next semester.
I've been hanging out with the cousins- it's a little tough since they both work all day so I only get to see them in the evenings. And the world cup is on so all we really do is watch soccer. It's been nice though, I have the days free to actually get a little work done on those papers which is what I'm hoping will happen today. I watched the last two England games with my cousin at various London pubs which was nice. The game on sunday was pretty crappy as far as sports go, so it was nice to at least be in the company of excited people.
I saw Tom last week and we walked all over central London. We met up with two of his friends from school, sat in the park, the three of us sneezed and rubbed our eyes while Tom who does not have allergies proceeded to be a fucker and make fun of us. Otherwise the day was really nice. I was planning on doing all the touristy stuff with Eric but now that he's not coming I think I can give it up since I've done it all before. I think I will go by the Globe gift shop tomorrow or thursday to get something for him and Emily since they're both theatre kids and the people I had planned to see London with. I tihnk on Friday Moran and I may go to an amusement parke called Thorpe Park because he doesn't feel like schleping all the way out to Allton Towers. Saturday is the next England game, then we have tickets to some dude from Pink Floyd playing in Hyde Park. Sunday I think I want to check out Camden Town.
