Yesterday was interesting. I had my "family" birthday party, in which I recieved $41 and, much to my listening pleasure, The Original London Cast version of Les Miserables. Very, very nice. Same Eponine and Valjean, which tickles me pink.
Afterwards, because it was too late to go to Chris and Jessica's party and because I can't buy the two presents without money, I went and babysat Jesse and Miranda. When I got there, Katie gave me an autographed copy of Radio Pirate DJ's newest CD. Hot off the press. Josh had dropped it off earlier for me. Him and Katie are such sweethearts.
Now, I haven't really paid attention to Josh's music since he quit For the Best, but I thought, "What the hell," and popped the CD in. The lyrics are midiocre, with the occasional line that I like, but it's your basic emo-punk simplicity. Lyrics range from the painfully pathetic, "I can't sleep when you're not around; when I dream, you always wear a frown," to the oddly likeable "And after you've been wrapped around my hips, I bet you'll run straight back to his." The music itself is decent; somewhere between mediocre and sorta good. Overall, they're good for a local band. And Josh is hot. What can I say.
Miranda went to bed almost immediately, so Jesse and I stayed in the computer room, listening to music and whatever. I was half asleep by the time Katie and Jason came home, and Jason scared the shit out of me when he popped into the room. Nearly pissed my pants.
Jason and Jesse drove me home, and we spontaneously decided to go to Taco Bell first. So I got a couple of soft tacos at one in the morning. Kick. Ass.
"I bet you'll run straight back to his."
