I am sitting here on my computer looking at livejournal. People make the weirdest connections. Adas is pretending to take a nap, though he may actually fall asleep. I am waiting for my bath water to cool down a bit.
I am going to a stake-holders meeting today about the Queer Resource Center. It is supposed to be done in a panel discussion meeting. This seems like the dumbest format for this type of meeting. They are trying to figure out what the center should do and it seems like it will end up like a city hall public comments section 'thank you for your comments, next' or like an experts panel 'well you see, gay boy, let me tell you what homosexuality is really all about'. I don't see much being accomplished at this meeting with this format. It really limits discussion, which is what needs to happen. Also, it places one group, the panelists, above another, the students. Hopefully, people will see this grave error in judgement and decide to change the format of the discussion at the last minute.
I need to get a new Social Security Card. I lost mine like 2 years ago and haven't bothered to get a new one. My Cherokee Nation tribal reg. card is a handy substitute. It also has the added benefit of freaking people out. Maybe I'll do that today.
I also have to study for my Russian oral exam tomorrow. I should study for that today. I have been majorly slacking in that class. I don't know why. I have been slacking in most of my classes. Could this be senioritis? After this term, I will only need 13 credits to graduate. It is kind of relieving, the pressure of doing assignments and deciding what classes to take will be lifted. (At least for awhile, until I go to grad school or look into doctoral programs.) It is kind of scary as well. What will I do. I've been doing this school thing for so long. Soooooo long.
Anyway, in Fall term, I will be taking Russian 301 and Philosophy of Punishment. That title makes me think how I want to punish furries. That Philo class will be my last requirement. The rest are electives.
