[A MORE DETAILED PICTURE] Ok, so i bought this laptop less than a month ago, a sweet little Toshiba with all top notch components that cost me $2500 *the fruit of my labors this summer) and
and have happily been going to school on a daily basis with it and having a grand old time. On a seemingly unrelated note, as of recent I have been really getting into working on music and doing tracks with friends in my spare time. One of my producer friends lent me their copy of pro tools to try out for a while. Went home and installed it on my pc, started running it and BAM, it crashed 5 minutes in. Barely even got a couple of midi tracks loaded when it froze up. Tried a couple more times and same result. I consulted another friend of mine who works with pro tools and logic and they outright told me you need an apple to run pro tools properly. When i mentioned that my version was from a friend who runs it on pc they went silent, so i called up the other kid to ask what was up and it turns out that pro tools only runs well in a unix environment or at the very least NT and you pretty much have to have everything else cleared off your system. Yeah, that doesnt work for me, so the only option i have now if i want to continue with this audio thing is to get an apple. So i am selling my spiffy new laptop so i can get a powerbook able to do my schoolwork during the day and audio at night. is the reason i am selling it.
so yeah. it cost me $2500 thirty days ago. i am selling it for $1800. It still has a full three year warranty as of sept. 2nd 2005. it sucks that i am losing over half a grand on it, depreciation is a bitch. if anyone is interested just post back or get at me at pheneus_island@yahoo.ca

claims to have a 5 hour battery life but i bring it to school at 11:30 am for my first class till about 2-2:30 pm then put it in hibernate mode, use it for a couple hours between classes then go to my end of the day class at 7-10pm and it usually makes it through the final class. so i would say for basic word processing and surfing it is alot longer.
ok, the end.
