I've actually been gearing up for a long time to try write a fic where Miranda's actions are viewed from the point of the person who she has inadvertently (or not) made pay by a decision. All too often, that person is Andy, which is a wholly different dynamic because almost exclusively it's followed by Andy and Miranda getting together and forgiveness.
For once I wanted to explore the idea that maybe the person Miranda destroys isn't in the wrong in any way shape or form, and without an established relationship, has no actual motivation to 'forgive and forget', for eg.
This is going to be a long one though and I've got a lot of ideas to try weave together, so let's see what happens!

Um, at some point, hopefully this week.
This'll be a long 'un so plenty more to come...

Thanks heaps, glad you are enjoying the interlinking because that's going to very much be a theme. Or at least that's the plan. Mind you, my plans very frequently implode well before being executed.
So let's see. Either way, hopefully you'll enjoy the end product (whenever that may be!)

More updates shall be dispensed forthwith. Um--timescale known though... hopefully not too long.
Thanks!

Poor Doug -- Miranda did definitely not have any pebbles and ponds in mind when she did what she did in the previous chapter! But I like Dr Stevens, she seems like a very good person, and I also liked the conversation with Doug.

Yes, I guess the story has taken a different turn from what I originally thought in my head. Or more accurately--where I want to get to in my head is a rather lengthier route on paper than one might have originally planned! However, I have a tendency to 'rush' and this might just be a rather good exercise in patience and build-up for the author (much more so than for the reader.) ;-)
Yes, a bit like Jake's lion, my Miranda doesn't always think (doesn't always want to think perhaps) about anything other than the means to an end and protecting her own. It's certainly a good set of principles for her nearest and dearest; others--not so much!
Yes, hopefully all the Dougs of this world have a nice, handy Dr Stevens but sadly, likely not.

*lol* It sounds like you're describing me! I mean, I don't write like you, but the process seems to be just the same. "where I want to get to in my head is a rather lengthier route on paper than one might have originally planned!", yes, exactly. And I, too, have a tendency to 'rush'.
I know; I feel sorry for all the Dougs of this world, but right now I'm mostly thinking about this particular one. ;) What's your policy when it comes to handing out spoilers..? I want to know if there will be romance! ;)

I think a few of us write in the same way. I am currently attempting NaNoWriMo and must confess that it is absolutely NOT working for me in any way, shape or form--other than heaping constant guilt on my head that I am so far behind.
So at least I can rule out one more method from the things I am confortable with. ;-)
Spoilers, huh? I shall assume romance for Doug? LOL Hmm, nothing on the horizon that I specifically thought of... but... my characters tend to sometimes demand their own things. And you may have just planted ideas in his head.
Naughty! ;-)
