I ninja'd my way through the whole thing with America but I sort of slept and read my way through the Faith thing. I'm not sure how good of an idea it is to turn the communicator off, but I did.

Kind of a two-sided thing I guess. You stay out of the dangerous shit, but you might also miss something you need to know.
