[Elicia is wondering what is going on in this school, mister. So you'd better be prepared for a familiar 5-year-old to pop up at the sound of a weasel being cornered in this empty classroom.]

[He's been bumping into so many people who 'know' him today, he's not even surprised to hear his name again. This little girl is likewise familiar, but he can't worry about that right now! He's been chasing this thing all over town and he's so. CLOSE.

Trying to keep his eye on his hat, he turns and raises a finger to his lips in the universal symbol for 'shhh', then points to the weasel.]

[O-oh!! Going to just. Be quiet and move a little closer.

He stole your hat, Mr. Longshot...?

[Shh that's copyrighted. Meet Stealer the Weasel: Swiper's less reputable cousin, eight times removed.

Longshot nods, slowly moving closer. He's been chasing this thing all over town.]

[Elicia leans in against the chair... and of course she accidently topples it over and makes a racket. Whoops! You're welcome, Longshot.]

[...it's a mighty big temptation to give into, but he'll make an exception this once.

Meanwhile! With it's vision obstructed, the weasel's plan of heading out the door might take longer than it expected. For this reason, it might veer a little closer towards the noise than it intended.]

With a little girlish sound of surprise, Elicia jumps and slaps her hands over the hat to hold it in place! VICTORY!!]

[He's impressed with her quick thinking, offering her a thumbs-up!

Longshot comes closer and kneels down, putting his own hand on top of the hat and looking back at her, as if to tell her it's okay to let go of the hat now.]

[And she slooowly moves away.]

Y-you're not gonna kill it, are you, Mr. Longshot? I'm sure it didn't mean to take your hat...

[He'd never intended to. Well, not once he realized where he was anyways. There's better stuff to be found to eat in the grocery store.

After another second of 'debate', he sighs, then motions her to move to the side of the door. With his other hand, he scoots the hat directly facing the door, planning to set the weasel on the right path out.]

But you should be really careful where you leave your funny hat, Mr. Longshot! I think animals like to take things all the time!

[You know... he's not really sure what it's supposed to be either. Stealing does seem to be a pretty common trait among every species though. He makes a face at it as it scampers off.

But he'll make sure it doesn't happen again! See, he usually has a better method for making sure it stays with him no matter what animal's running around, as he'll demonstrate now by tying the string attached to the hat underneath his chin. Think that might help?]
