007 -- [Action] The Return

[There is a weasel running around Luceti today, ladies and gentlemen. And by running around, we might mean running into things. It is surprisingly difficult for weasels to see where they're going when their heads are covered by large umbrella hats, apparently.

[ ... that hat is rather familiar. but not on top of a weasel. wtf, a weasel? it's heading towards the school....

Xion stands there, blinking, internally debating if she wants to follow it, or maybe see if anyone is ... giving chase. ]

[If you do choose to follow it, Xion, be careful not to follow too closely. Since the walkways around the school have been paved, he can't just scoop up some snow and make a quick snowball to chuck at the weasel anymore. Therefore, Longshot has resorted to the only other item he has on hand.

[ .... okay, she was a little too close.

however, she does manage to see the boot flying her way at the last second, and DROPS, only just managing to get out of the way.

of course, now she's in a pile on the ground, staring around, startled and quite ruffled, for whoever threw that. ]

[Blink. Oh, he did not mean to do that. A startled squeak from the weasel, who was clipped by the boot, reminds him that he can't stay in place for too long though.

He gives a quick bow of apology to Xion as he rushes past her crouched form - and hey, doesn't she look kinda familiar...? - before hurrying off in the direction of the school.]

.... Longshot!

[ it's him! it must be! she'll scramble to her feet and take off after him, following him into the school, searching for boy and weasel. ] Longshot?

[The weasel's currently nowhere in sight, but Longshot is. He moves quietly towards the doors, peering into the classrooms. Hearing his name, he turns back towards the girl.

...as he does, the weasel darts out of an unchecked room towards the doors Xion came through. He points quickly at said doors as if to tell her to shut them as he scrambles back the way he came.]

[ ... !

understanding his silent directions, she shut the doors immediately, and watches the weasel rush towards her. then she gets an idea. ]

Stop!

[ her voice has a strange ring of power to it ... and in the next instant, it's easy to see why. the weasel has literally frozen in place. though the effect will only last for a few seconds... ]

[It takes a split second to realize that she isn't talking to him, then another to see what it's done to the weasel. That... is strange.

But he's not about to look a gift horse in the mouth. Easily catching up to the weasel now that it's frozen in place, he reaches his hand down and quickly scoops up his hat.]

[ not a moment after Longshot retrieves his hat, the weasel unfreezes. it looks left, right... then promptly bolts. Xion just watches it go.

.... then focuses her attention on Longshot, happy and nervous and scared all at the same time. ] Um, hi.

[He too watches it leave, then places his hat back on top of his head. Much better.

Xion gets a grin and a short wave, then another bow - this one in thanks for helping him.]

[ ... does he remember?

the question is burning in her mind. Sora coming back and not remembering was such an unpleasant shock to her system, at first -- she's trying to prepare herself mentally for the eventuality that Longshot, too, may have forgotten. ]

... did you ... only just get here?

[He nods his head, not looking too surprised by what she might mean by 'here'.]

... okay, I'm sorry if this is confusing, but I have to ask. [ she picks up on his lack of surprise, and it gives her a spark of hope... ] Do you remember being here before?

[A broader grin this time, and Longshot places a hand on her shoulder, patting it once.

That would be a yes. And he remembers her, too.]
