sungod festival...
hey yo.. so yesterday was the sungod festival. lotsa booths and food and games and such around campus yesterday. up by sungod there was that giant q-tip jousting thing.. and an obstacle course.. and this bungee thing where u see who can run the farthest.. it was pretty cool.. then they were selling all this food down library walk.. thank goodness amanda and i were smart enough to eat at club med before checkin the festivities out cuz we couldn't afford to spend the few dollars we had.. haha. i'm kinda proud of myself.. apparently no one ever goes to class the day of sungod but i went to all two classes i had.. lol. it's not like i would been doing anything special had i not gone to the classes..
so yes.. the group of us who went to the concert last nite was a sober group. no drinking for us.. we left erc at like 4:30 to get food at ovt and when we got to rimac we were the second group in line.. there were 2 ppl before us.. haha. it was kinda funny. and we made friends with one of the guys in the yellow jackets.. after the concert lynn and i saw him again and found out his name was sean and we said byebyee to him. haha. he kinda scared me.. he fist started talking to us cuz we were in line eating his stir-fry and he was saying how he was getting hungry and craved chinese food. haha. then later, when we were waiting in another line, i gave lynn a lollipop but she gave it to him.. and he kept scaring me by putting his face right next to mine from behind and then lynn would tap me to have me turn around and i'd turn and get all freaked out and literally scream and jump and run away. it happened like twice!! meh.. at least i provided entertainment to u ppl and thanx to me u weren't bored in line! lol :P
umm.. oh yah.. last nite was my very first moshing experience. it was during no use for a name's set.. it was pretty damn intense.. pretty insane.. it was definitely an experience.. pretty fun.. woulda been tons more fun if i didn't have my damn purse to worry about.. i kno better for next time.. all i need to bring according to angelo is ID, money, and keys. it has been noted.. haha. so yah.. tons of drunk ppl last nite.. which also mean vomit.. which we were unfortunate enough to witness like 3 times.. really disgusting.. at least we were lucky enough to not be in close vicinity of it.. unlike that poor group sitting on the grass where that girl did it.. soooo eewww!!!
five crown was the first band to perform, local band from SD.. apparently the drummer goes here.. haha. they were okie.. they didn't have much energy on stage.. just kinda stood there and played their instruments and sang.. they were decent tho.. then came no use for a name.. and they totally rocked it out.. lotsa energy and stuff.. that was cool.. then knocturnal.. they were on for like 5 minutes.. i don't think anyone was listening to them.. lol.. at this point we had already gone to the tables and started playing cards cuz we were kinda bored.. yah.. we played thirteen aka pisoy. that was cool..we taught lynn how to play. eventually we got tired of playing cards and headed toward the stage again to see cake.
cake came on and that was pretty cool.. but then me and lynn weren't feeling it so we went to wander around, lookin for steiner since we lost him. we finally called him, turns out he wasn't feelin well, tummy ache, and he had gone home. so we went back to join up with the others at the stage and stayed for a few songs.. one of which happened to be "never there" so that was cool.. and the other was "the distance" it was funny cuz they played this song that was like a waltz-y song and the guy behind me was singing every single word and even made the trumpet noises.. lol. it was pretty funny.. haha. so yah.. then lynn and i went to the tables to talk, then when it was over we headed to ovt to meet up with the rest of the group. i had a cake and some really bad ice coffee crap and it went insane, but i'm better now.. well, not as bad as last nite at least.. lol
the whole event ended pretty early.. we were at ovt by midnite.. or maybe a little past midnite.. so overall it was okie.. not as great as it was hyped up to be, but i'm thinking ppl think it's so great cuz everyone and their mom is drunk and we were sober so we saw how stupid and lame some of the stuff was. lol. but yah.. it was awfully nice of them to put that together. it was cool. so yah.. that was sungod.. whoopdeedoo.. lol. okie.. tummy's growling and i'm hungry now.. time for me to visit the dogghouse and get some food..
