Plan [28] : [the aftermath]

Apr 04, 2008 21:05

I hope everyone is fully recovered from the illness that went around. Mark, how are you feeling? Stella and Sheena, as well; I haven't heard from the three of you in a few days.

I ... don't really have much to say in the wake of what has happened here, but ... it seems to be over. Thank you, everyone, for your support and inspiration during these trying times. The coherence within the community was greatly heartening. The threats presented then have been neutralized, the monsters seem to have disappeared from the forests again. Perhaps some semblance of calm will give us time to breathe. In a way, we as the people of Luceti have lost our innocence, and that is something that will hurt for some time. And yet ... I believe it's something we must remember. Our enemies are the Malnosso, not each other. We cannot let that change.

I would ask that you please refrain from returning to the clinic for a few more days. Kamui, Lute, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but we need to make sure there's nothing dangerous in there anymore. Along those lines ... anyone with practical experience in dismantling bombs and other sorts of traps, I have a list of locations both inside and outside the clinic that need to be swept. Endi, Dark, I'm not certain your skills would be useful in this situation, but some things seem to be in rather awkward spaces that I think beings with your talents can most easily access. If you don't feel comfortable with the danger involved, I won't hold it against you. Duo, you seem to be most familiar with these sorts of devices; any help or advice you could offer would be most appreciated.

I wonder ... to the scientists and researchers of our community: have you any method of studying samples on a cellular level? I know it's a lot to ask with our current level of technology. I am ... curious as to whether it can be done.

Ahiru, I would like to speak with you, should you have the time. It's not particularly important, but the mood of our community has rather plummeted recently, and I think we can do something to help that recover.

I would also like to welcome the most recent batch of New Feathers. I hope you all are getting settled -- if there's anything you need, please don't hesitate to ask.

let's all be friends k?, mini-speech, itsuki event, aftermath, back to normal, cleaning out the clinic
