In non-zombie related news-
Ok, but first a wierd thing that just happened at work!
Ok, my desk is right in front of the front door, which at the moment is unlocked. It has been unlocked since at least 8 which is when I got here, people have been going in and out of it all day, which makes what just happened even more wierd.
A few minutes ago a guy walked up to the door, messed with the handle, walked off to look at the sign on the side of the building and then came back to mess with the door handle again, only to end up knocking on the door to beckon me over there.
When I do go over there and open the door he just stands outside the door and starts to give me a sales pitch. Seriously, dude? Somehow I don't think I'll be buying anything from a guy who can't even figure out how to work a door.
Anyway, back to the news!
In movie news- So by now everyone's pretty much heard the rumors that Robert Downy Jr. is in talks to play the vampire Lestat in some sort of reboot of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles movie. Which has led to some good ol' internet squabbling about whether he's too old or not blonde or whatever, however, the vamp queen herself, Anne Rice has decided to speak up, saying, basically, 'I love RDJ, it could totally work.' Which is close to my "I love RDJ, this is wierd but I'll wait and then reserve judgement."
The Time Traveler's Wife came out...I don't know, a while ago? I read the wiki entry on the book and wasn't impressed, and just watching the previews for the movie make me think it's a total crap fest. So I really like this reviewbecause it pretty much agrees with me.
In things that concern me- Posters and a billboard for what looks like a crap horror movie are discussed on the Sociological Images blog. The article mostly concerns the placement of these awful images (I thought about posting a pic here for about, two seconds, it's disturbing) right outside of toy stores in a mall, but in the comments they also talk about how the women being tortured (I told you, disturbing) are in sexualized position while the guy just looks non-sexy scared.

Stephen Colbert weighs in on the Archie-Veronica Proposal controversy.
RTD totally has a plan for a new season of Torchwood, he won't say what it is, but he just want's us all to know that's it's totally in the bag, cause he totally didn't screw himself over by killing off 1/3 of his cast last season, and I am totally not being sarcastic......or maybe I am. Either way I'm still horribly wounded and the least he could do is AKNOWLEDGE MY PAIN!!!
*sniff* Thanks, Sam. Now I'm not going to go stare at a picture of Gareth and maybe almost cry at work and then have it be akward when a coworker walks over and sees me sobbing into my keyboard.
