"I don't fuckin' remember invitin' any of you assholes to this little party. So, whatever. I'm outta here. You wanna have your big happy family, fine. I got better things to do."I arched a shapely eyebrow as Faith made her dramatic exit. Not exactly oozing with finesse, especially with that knee to Spike's nether regions. I didn't exactly

Spike gave me the usual attitude as he departed, but with him curled over himself, it really didn't have any of the menace he wanted. I knew he was headed to find Drusilla, so I figured he wouldn't be too far when he felt like spilling the beans about what he'd done with the Hellmouth or when I felt like digging the information out of him.
"Well. So much for the big update on what Spike unleashed. Oh well, I'm sure I can find out the details some other way. At least one of us still has connections at our disposal. So are you still subject to that truth spell? Or did you manage to spill your deepest darkest secrets to someone before we had our nice little get together?"
I shook my head angrily.
"No, I'm still under the goddamn spell," I growled angrily, my words getting faster and more heated by the moment. "There isn't a single fucking person, undead or not, in this whole damn building that I even remotely feel like telling that the one time I was gagging for it bad enough that I did Spike, and LIKED it!!!"
I froze, mouth agape.
"Aww, fuck."
Father always did say that running my mouth would get me in trouble one day. Well, at least the spell was off.
I was still cursing at myself as Lilah sashayed her way across the room and slid up to me the way she had down in her office, when she'd first turned on our little mind-melding. Even if it was playacting, considering all of the interruptus that had been happening with Faith, Lilah's attention was definitely getting my attention.
"So now that Faith the Wonder Vamp is out of the way, I presume you have plans... hopefully you are going to tell me what those are..."
I wrapped an arm around Lilah and kept her pressed nice and close as her fingers played under the collar of my shirt. Figuring on keeping things kinda even, I let my hand find a nice resting place somewhere back and south of the waistband of Lilah's skirt.
"Soon," I drawled, "but you and I never got around to, uh, sealing the deal, if you recall."
{Any news on how to keep the First off of our backs, or have you been wasting all day on trying to keep Faith on hers?}
Mentally shaking my head, I cursed the leash that was still keeping me tied to The First.
{Nothing yet, but I'm starting to suspect that something big is about to go down, probably something having to do with the Hellmouth and whatever Spike did. If we keep our eyes open, we might at least be able to get some good ideas out of the deal.}
Groping continuing, I started wondering just how much 'cover' Lilah was willing to give the situation.
