HEREI was lickin' the blood off my lips as I stood up slowly, watchin' Dru try t'put her clothes back together. Heh... yeah, Angelus couldn't deny it now. He was always interruptin', ruinin' what we had... only this time? He couldn't touch us

Since Angelus hadn't replied to me, I assumed either he was busy in the biblical sense or there was something going on that he didn't want me to know about. Either way, that meant it was in my best interests to find him quickly and make sure that he didn't forget just who was meant to be working with whom.
A few minutes later I found what looked like impromptu meeting going on. Funny how I wasn't invited. I paused at the threshhold, listening to Spike prattle on to the others.
"Sun's comin' up, so we best stay indoors... hmmm, what else... oh. Right." I paused. "Me and Dru just opened up the soddin' Hellmouth and released a bunch of nasties onto the White Hats -- somethin' neither of you seem t'be able t'do. Now, anythin' else? Or, maybe I should be givin' you two some advice. You know, like a Guidebook on "How t'be Evil and Get Shagged"."
At the end of his speech, I put my hands together and gave Spike a little golfer's clap.
"Bravo, it looks like the little engine that couldn't, finally made it up that hill. Good job, Sparky. Always knew you had it in you. And yet grandpop doesn't look all that proud does he?" I smirked at him, and then turned to face the others.
"Looks like I wasn't the only one having a productive day." I gave Angelus a pointed look. {I presume you did more than just make a deposit at the Bank of Skanksville, or is that expecting too much from the late formerly great Angelus?} "So. Hellmouth. Sounds like fun. What kind of nasties are we talking about? And how come I wasn't invited to this little sit-down? Are you forgetting I'm your liason here?"

"If you wanna watch, hey... not gonna stop you. But keep your fuckin' mouth shut. Maybe you'll learn a few things. Fuck it. Anyway, we're waitin' here Spike. What the fuck do you want?"
Even her sex kitten attitude was getting tossed in favor of just flat out being pissed at Spike, which I totally understood, but still wasn't a good sign. And then of course, the thing he was so damn good at-- pissing me off-- Spike turned up a notch by smacking me on the forehead.
"So... she in there now or some-such?"
I swiped at Spike's hand, knocking it away. "No," I growled back simply. Idiot just kept asking questions, of course. I really needed to get this stupid spell off my back-- I just needed to figure out what my goddamn secret would be.
"Did you two go and drink up all the good liquor 'round here?"
"Yes," I replied, and I was actually plenty willing to tell the truth on that score. "So sorry."
"Why should I tell you?"
That one was pointed at Faith, so for once, I didn't get the impulse to answer.
"Oh fine, I'll clue you in. Maybe you can even pass all this onto Miss L while you're at it, Angelus. Sun's comin' up, so we best stay indoors... hmmm, what else... oh. Right. Me and Dru just opened up the soddin' Hellmouth and released a bunch of nasties onto the White Hats -- somethin' neither of you seem t'be able t'do. Now, anythin' else? Or, maybe I should be givin' you two some advice. You know, like a Guidebook on How t'be Evil and Get Shagged."
I dropped my head into my hand. My so-called un-life was tough enough with The First on my ass, Lilah in my head and Faith possibly looking to stake me in the back. Now, I had to deal with a Spike who was making inroads into the chain of command. Swell. Speaking-- or thinking-- of Lilah, she decided to make her entrance right then.
"Bravo, it looks like the little engine that couldn't, finally made it up that hill. Good job, Sparky. Always knew you had it in you. And yet grandpop doesn't look all that proud does he?"
I shot Lilah back an annoyed glance. I got enough smartass from Spike. Next thing I knew, she was in my head again.
{I presume you did more than just make a deposit at the Bank of Skanksville, or is that expecting too much from the late formerly great Angelus?}
{It's called consolidating a power base, counselor. The more muscle on our side of the equation, the better, right?}
"So. Hellmouth. Sounds like fun. What kind of nasties are we talking about? And how come I wasn't invited to this little sit-down? Are you forgetting I'm your liason here?"
I crossed my arms and sighed. There was no kicking any of them out now, and so yet another chance at getting a little piece went straight down the damn drain.
"Spike's the one bounding with all the explanatory energy. Let him tell the story."
