Title: Back 2U
Fandom: 2PM
Pairing: Wooyoung/Nichkhun, Wooyoung-centric
A/N: Wrote this on a whim. And I can't help with the references. x]
Summary: Physically, he’s back at Busan. Mentally though, he keeps thinking about Nichkhun (among other things).
BACK 2U
Wooyoung likes Nichkhun. And not in the best friend, brotherly kind of way like he does with the other members.
No, he really likes Nichkhun. In the devouring, sexual, can’t-let-you-go-even-if-I-die kind of way.
Wooyoung thinks it might be love (as in the non-platonic kind), and his immediate reaction was holy shit I am so screwed.
Because he shouldn’t feel this way towards one of his bandmates. He shouldn’t feel this way towards a man, period.
As he sits down in a small cafe in Busan, sipping on his coffee, Wooyoung starts thinking. This can’t be happening. He can’t be... gay. It’s just not possible.
Right?
Well, he was never particularly attracted to any girl. Sure, he’s checked out girls before, but he’s never had that interest, except for that girl in middle school. She wasn’t like most girls; enjoys soccer and basketball and skateboarding and was pretty... butch. One of the boys.
He wonders what she’s doing now. He can barely remember her name. Was it Oh Bang Shil?
Anyway.
Wooyoung sighs. Who is he kidding. He’s gay and he loves Nichkhun Buck Horvejkul. Wooyoung grows paranoid because he thinks, the netizens, his parents and his members will not take this lightly. Nichkhun especially, definitely.
He imagines suicide petitions, the disgrace he’ll bring to the family, the disgust on his father’s face, the worry in his mother’s eyes and the pitying looks he’ll get from his members. (His heart aches even more as he imagines the discomfort in Nichkhun’s eyes, the frown tainting his angelic face, unrequited.) Wooyoung gulps a mouthful of the bitter coffee and rubs his temple. He feels overwhelmed. Wooyoung realises he’s panting hard, and shit, he tries to calm himself down.
He leaves the cafe with leaden steps (after faking a smile to the owner and signing an autograph for his daughter) and heads for the pier. It’s been so long since he was last there. He misses the salty tang of the sea; the rank of fisheries; the thunderous honking of the ships; the gulls’ white poop raining down... He misses Busan like an old friend.
Wooyoung sits on a pier and lets the sea breeze kiss his face. It helps to keep his mind off things. Jay, Sunmi, his father, Nichkhun.
Wooyoung stares at the wide, cerulean expanse and the ships swimming across it, and thinks of what it will be like to hop on a cruise ship, and his thoughts shift to the Titanic movie and how hot Leonardo DiCaprio was and he imagines himself and Nichkhun on said cruise ship and-shit.
So much for keeping his mind off things. He glares at the sea’s betrayal. Wooyoung huffs and walks back toward the city; hands shoved deeply in his parka pockets, gripping his mobile phone and he wonders what Nichkhun is doing in Thailand.
Wooyoung misses Nichkhun, and he can’t seem to get used to the fact that he can’t see the taller man in his peripherals.
The Busan native’s heart skips a beat when he receives a message. He hurriedly flips his phone open and his heart sinks when the sender isn’t Nichkhun. He suddenly feels guilty, because it's one of his old friends he hasn’t seen in ages and Wooyoung starts to reply the message.
After he sent his reply, Wooyoung silently reprimands himself. I’m back home to get away from work. I’m going to drink buckets of soju, have fun, laugh and keep my mind occupied by being with friends. That’s what I’m going to do. Nothing else. No Khun.
Wooyoung receives another message, assuming it is his friend again, but he’s surprised it’s Nichkhun.
I’m bored. :(
Wooyoung sighs. Oh, this is going to be harder than he thought.
