Did you know that in Germany, the best way to make anything stereotypically American is to associate it with a cheeseburger? It is true!

I've always preferred hamburgers.

I'm a cheeseburger fan, myself.

Cheeseburgers technically are not kosher, so my family never ate them, really. I never acquired a taste for them.

And yet hamburgers, with "ham" right in the name, are?

Burger is made completely of beef. There is no pork in it.

Then why's it called a hamburger?

The hamburger, according to different sources, was either invented in Hamburg, New York at a fair, or invented in some other place, where the creator named it after the Hamburg Steak, a traditional meal brought over by German immigrants.

Those are only some of the theories. But long story short, it always has something to do with Hamburg, Germany.

Sorry to bother you with all of that. My name is Mimmi.

I just thought a burger was a burger.

No problem! I'm Charlie.

Well, it is very nice to meet you, Charlie.

Are you a native to Novi Pompeii?

No, I just moved here. Same state, though.

Only natural for a big, beautiful city like this.

It really is rather nice when everything is normal.

Most cities are nice when everything's normal. Normality's a luxury, though.

I never would have thought that before coming here.

Random power outages and city-wide memory loss? Not very normal.
