1. I am going to have to take Latin exam, sadly. Moreover, it's the day after my Cultural Studies - Introduction exam.

2. I have seen Lost final episodes - all I can say is, ZOMG! Jaw there, on the floor.

3. It's Mothers' Day in Poland today - happy day to them all.

is a hard working person; she raises four children on her own - my Dad wasn't much help alive, and is even less help once dead, believe me. She works in a very responsible position but it does not stop her from being so much fun, such a great friend and human being. She loves to read and wants all her children to learn as much as we can. She's a great support most of the time, even if we quarrel because our attitudes are so different - I am a quitter, I hate to lose resources on things that are unlikely to work out anyway and I fear failure worse than sin. She wants me to change it, but I doubt I can, or really want to. But other than her getting angry at me when I always see things black while she sees chances, we get on very well. But most of all, as much as I remember times when she knew hell nothing about being a good mother, when she struggled too hard and hurt us in the process, when our family was in pieces - I've always known she loves me and she always would, as I always shall love her.

4. We talked about subcultures in cultural studies today. Yay glam rock yay! And surprisingly, it turned out that the girl I sit with knows what yaoi, yuri and fanfiction is. ::jawdrop::

5. Finally, it's Friday, thus recommendations are in order.

If you remember Bloodcult of Freud's Tyger, Tyger there is no point recommending - all I can say in that case is, this is shaping up to be better, and possibly free of some cliches that surfaced in BoF's previous work. But that was her first, and now we're in for a new treat.

The thing that draws me to yanniconny's stories is her characterisation - she does 'pathetic' like almost no one else. I feel for her characters, always. Her plots are intense and original, her dialogue is hilarious and her ideas simply rock. She writes strong, unconventional female characters and fascinating males. Her Millicent in this one is unfortunately already taken by shiv5468 - otherwise, I'd be trying to get her to marry me, really. Seven Preposterous Things is a treat for any SS/HG shipper - or for anyone with an open mind and who feels like reading something really, really good, when it comes to fanfiction.

Moreover, this is post-HBP :) All her other stories are, obviously, also worth reading.

The second story is AU take on "what if Draco was a Ravenclaw?" with a HP/DM twist and humour like no other. Maya makes me laugh out loud a number of times - and then makes me feel so sad for her characters. Friendships Draco makes in Ravenclaw, his attitude towards his friends and his awful habit of going into hysterics and believing the world revolves around him... Maya does not update too often, but this is worth a read even if it were never to be finished, simply because this would have a place in the first ten of Most Funny Fics I've Ever Read - with the added benefit of there being intelligent humour as well as plain silliness.

It also made me stay up until 2 AM and I haven't done that for a ff in a long while.

And now I'm starting cleaning my room, seriously. Tomorrow I shall post a meme or two because yeah, I'm a sheep.

I hope you all have a great weekend.
