Politics - again!

Watching political chat-shows when Jacek Kurski appears is not a good idea - something I ought to have realised long ago. He always, always manages to push my buttons. That such a piece of scum even exist is an insult to humanity.

Yes. You might remember him from my posts about the campaign - he is the "Tusk's father willingly joined Wehrmacht" guy.

And today, he touched another topic I am very, very sensitive about - antisemitism. Or did he?

Jacek Żakowski: (a journalist) I went to Tel Aviv.

Jacek Kurski: And it's good you did. I am sure many visit Tel Aviv quite often.

Just an off-hand remark, nothing to do with the topic... but at the same time, any TV viewer acquinted with the man's opinion on who is really behind anything bad happening to My Poor Country (do I have to spell it out? Obviously the Jews!) will get the meaning.

It makes me so ashamed. Ashamed for the fact that despite the fact that I knew Kurski to be scum, I still thought he was merely a margin in otherwise not-that-bad PiS (Law&Order). Ashamed of the fact that my own grandparents follow exacly this kind of propaganda. Ashamed of the fact that this lying, traitorous piece of something a dog dragged in actually claims to be a human being, a patriot and a Catholic.

It is even more unnerving for me, because I grew up surrounded by such shit. My Grandparents were spoon-fed it by some of the extremist media and this is the way they view the world - as a hateful and dangerous place where everyone and their dog is out to get them, their country, their religion. All the gay men are just waiting for an opportunity to become schoolteachers and molest/spread their abnormality. Jews are power-thirsty and just wait for an opportunity to buy the land we live on. The freemasonry is controlling the media and anyone who claims all that not to be true is naive or supporting the system.

Honestly? If all that crap was true, I'd prefer to be blind and live in my illusions.

And what angers me most is that I do not really think he even believes it. When I look at his self-assured pose, I see a man who totally realises he is spitting hatred-filled bullshit and letting that bullshit deviate good if simple and intolerant people (because many of those people are really good, you know - my grandparents? Toxic like hell, but the bottom line is, they love their country and their children/grandchildren) - and he derives pleasure from it. Currently, this is the option most likely to grant him power, so he supports it. But he is not really in it. That's all just a game to him. Other people's lives are game to him.

I am looking forward to seeing him get what he deserves, which I believe shall happen. Perhaps not today, or even tomorrow. But one day.

Like it came to the lying and corrupted left-wing SLD.

Nothing like such conservatists to make a girl go liberal. Not that I plan to :p

In other news, I got myself this new shiny icon. Just couldn't resist the temptation.

And first episodes of Desperate Housewives? Bree ruled. Totally and utterly.

While Susan sucked.
