Turning 18 is an important time in someone's life, Callum thinks. At least, that's what he was told (he never felt new or special when he turned 18) but then again, he also wasn't a zoranthrope when he had his coming-of-age birthday. Maybe it'll be different for Zane.
And despite any trouble the boy may have gotten into, even on this very day, Callum's still throwing him a birthday party.
With Marie's help, he's barbecued some food, and made a cake (it turned out okay, allright), and bought some presents. Now all that's left is for the birthday boy to show up!
