Help with pattern, please?
I'm hoping someone can help me, even as vague as I'm about to be!
I was about to start the poncho pattern from this book. However, the instructions have two sets of directions in it. The first is the "stitch pattern" with four rows of directions, and then there are the "poncho directions". The poncho directions actually tell me which size needles to use, as well as how many stitches I need to cast on, etc.
My question is, is the stitch pattern something I can ignore, and I can go straight to the poncho directions? Or do I need to start the poncho with the stitch pattern and then go to the poncho directions?
