iPod cozy

I am getting ready to knit an iPod cozy, and I was planning on using some leftover acrylic worsted weight yarn. However, it occurs to me that I have no idea if that would scratch the screen up. Does anyone know if there's a "better" or "worse" kind of yarn for making them? I'm assuming wool would scratch them up badly.

I made my iPod's cozy out of Red Heart, and it hasn't scratched it up at all.
