In Which I Am the Latest Letter Writer
Dear YAGKYAS Secret Santa,
Hello! I already love you! I'm pretty stoked to read whatever you have to offer, no lie. My request thingamob had a lot of options, so hopefully one of them appeals to you and you don't feel stuck on any one aspect of it!
Anyway, here is where I ramble and offer you ideas that you should feel TOTALLY FREE to ignore, because I am basically insane.
My dislikes are: deathfic, extreme angst, non-con, and character-bashing.
My likes... hoo, there are so many. Where to begin! THIS SHOW HAS SO MANY THINGS TO LIKE ABOUT IT, AMIRITE? Of course I am, and I suspect you agree or you wouldn't have signed up for this exchange. (PS, did I mention I already love you?)
Basically, I love Ray Person. I love his relationship with Brad, be it in a platonic heterolifemates way or a romantic pining way or an established relationship of great bickering and fondness and scorching hot married sex sort of way. If that doesn't work for you, though, no worries! There's always Ray/Nate, that dark horse pairing of my soul. I love the idea of Nate topping the hell out of Ray, teasing him and riling him up, or just them being long-suffering college roommates. Anything! I enjoy the dynamics of those two -- they're very different, but both brilliant, you know? Nate and Ray on a debate team would be SO COOL, RIGHT?
If neither of those pairings appeal, there's always the other character requests. I requested some of my favorites who don't get a lot of love in fandom -- any fic centered around any of them would be 100% love. Poke and Lilley having conversations, Stafford and Christeson jamming out, anything. I especially adore Poke, I cannot lie. I love AUs, and canon, and basically, seriously, I can't imagine any fic with any of these characters that I would not go into paroxysms of glee over.
As for my Wildcard Crossover Request, AHAHAH. I just basically think it'd be great to see some of the GK boys in the DW universe. It'd be so fun! Zany time travel adventures! The Doctor and Poke having a conversation! Brad busting a nut over the TARDIS! Ray as the Master and Nate as the Doctor! The possibilities are nigh-on endless. One of the men could be a Time Lord that got Chameleon-Arched, IDEK. (PPS: I did tell you you can ignore all of my crazy rambling, right? right? Good. Carry on.)
