Oh my god, ramble away, because this comment? IS SO AMAZING. Thank you so much, seriously, it just totally dissolved my heart into flail and delight that you cared enough about this story to write all this.
And yes, oh man, this story has been a really big deal to me for a long, long time -- I started writing it thinking it'd be an easy one-shot, maybe 10k, but I realized really quickly that it was a much bigger story than that, and that if I wanted to do it justice, I'd have to be in for the long haul (I admit I didn't anticipate the haul being THIS long, though, heh).
Yeah, Frank's story is really, really rough -- I'm sorry there was crying! *hugs, offers tissues* But even though it's a tragic story, I tried to give everyone a hopeful ending, even if it's not perfect. Frank's still fucked up (how could he not be?), but he's got Gerard, and freedom, and friends. And hey, speaking of which:
The flow of this story was such that I think just enough was resolved, which leaves you wondering what happens to them in the future but not feeling like you ended this at the wrong point or anything. The arc of the storylines pitch a perfect circle
*__* Best compliment ever, seriously! I wanted to give everyone an ending to build on, a future, so that comment means so much to me, I am beaming like crazy.
Just, again: thank you SO MUCH. This story has been such a huge part of me for so long, and knowing that it resonates like this with other people is the best feeling in the world. ♥
