- Buy more Japanese stationary. Bought a lot of other cute Japanese items as well.
- Find a victim to test my makeup skills on. xD
- Write an evaluation for Professor Penner's promotion.
- Send incorrect DVD back to Walmart.
- Watch Hot Shot and Invincible Shan Bao Mei.
- Check to see if Helen and Joanne would be willing to go to CPK for lunch this weekend. Saturday is fine! Can't wait to see my former students!
- Use Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning to clean out closet and put out the fall clothes!
I was working in the lab today, making phones to parents, asking if they would be interested in bringing their infants to our lab for research. This woman picks up and I introduce myself in a courteous manner. She goes, "Just tell me what you want, please." So I got kind of shaky and told her the purpose of our research. In this nasty voice, she says, "Why would I be interested in this?". I was about to cuss so I just said, "Okay, thank you for your time. Bye" and hung up. Afterward, I stared at the phone for about five minutes, just trying to figure out what just happened. So I told Serena about this and she said she would've cussed out at that woman if she were me, lol. I usually don't take this kind of stuff personally, but man, that woman's attitude was really uncalled for. I even asked her, "How are you today?" and all I got back was full of crap. This is precisely why I don't want to work with adults when I become a psychologist. Sheesh. I would've liked it better if you just hung up on me!
Moving on...
Exam on Friday! I just asked Serena and Susan today if they understood anything Professor Adams was talking about in class. The both of them made faces and shook their heads, lol. I understood about a quarter of what she was trying to say. She has the tendency to make her sentences more complicated than they really are. Bleh. Guess I'll have to start studying on Wednesday in order to get an A. Blah, I would be satisfied with a B. I think. xD
Gosh, it's so cold here! Just standing outside for two minutes makes me shiver! Unfortunately, someone forgot to pick up my cousin from the Chinese afterschool program, so the principal called me and asked me to pick him up. Except...she didn't tell me that the doors were locked after 6pm (AND, I should have known since I did work there.....) so I stood out in the cold. Luckily, one of the assistants saw me and told my cousin to come down. Otherwise....I would have died in the cold, lol. Haha, and I didn't even have the principal's cell phone number....
Sigh.
Just completed my hiring papers at the library today. It will take at least another two weeks or so before I really begin to work. There's the CORI check that they need to do.
Sigh.
Mom isn't too happy about the fact that I've opened a savings account. But I just think it's better that I have one. I can learn to save some money.
