So here we are - baby's due two weeks today. There have been sporadic signs of enthusiasm from her, but far more in the way of laziness. She clearly takes after her Mum already. I'm not really ready for her yet; there's still so much to do, not least packing my hospital bag. Still, I reckon I'm probably going to have plenty of time to do that whilst I'm in labour, so I'm less worried about that than I am about finishing the great living room change-around or sorting out the box of bathroom stuff. Or even about catching up with the washing and ironing. Go figure.
This afternoon we went to Warwick for the waterbirth class. I was expecting something quite instructional, but the long and short of it was "you get in the water and then you have your baby, we try not to do anything really". However, the really good thing was getting to see the hospital and to ask questions about all the things we'd been wondering about. I am very pleased to hear that my bringing a huge bag of pasties with me to the delivery room is positively encouraged. Mmm pie!
In other news, I am very much looking forward to trying to socialise this weekend, and am hoping that I will be feeling well enough to go out and have a good time (although any boogieing is definitely off the agenda). The annoying thing is not so much the time that I spend feeling like crap (although that's pretty frustrating) but the unpredictability of it - I can be feeling all fine and dandy in the morning, but shitty by the evening (or vice versa). Let's just say I have my fingers crossed (but not my legs, as I can't do that anymore).
And my hair has faded a LOT. This annoys me.
