Also, this got this circulated today. You're probably not looking for anything with such an immediate start, but on the off-chance you are, let me know and I will pick up an application form from Neil; I've already grabbed 2 for philoko and shabbadobbin
Dear all, now that we are approaching go-live for phase 2 - registration - it is clear that we will have a shortfall on our headcount which we need to cover. This has arisen due to people not arriving to take up post as expected, and amended hours working.
We are therefore looking to "recruit" six to eight people on fixed term contracts. The contracts will be for three months, at Band E level. Start date to be as soon as can be arranged. The vacancies are currently on the registration teams.
Applicants will need to complete and return an application form to Ian, Ettie or myself, and meet the minimum educational qualification requirement of 5 GCSE's or equivalent.
Can I ask you all therefore to consider whether you have any family or friends you know of who may wish to apply. If you do I have application forms with me.
In the longer term we will look to recruit additional permanent staff. I understand Tribunals Service placed an advert in the Birmingham Mail last friday to recruit additional Band E staff and we will be talking to Tribunals managers to see if we can share their recruitment campaign and recruit to fill our vacancies via last friday's advert. I will let you know as soon as I have further news on this.
If you have any questions please come and see me today or tomorrow whilst I am up here.
Please do consider whether you know of anyone this might suit. We have a real need to increase our headcount until we can arrange further permanent recruitment which as I am sure you are all aware, can take some time.

E mail address for me is like the sarantium one for John, but with my first name at the front of it instead of his. I also have a Yahoo account. I have pinged an e mail to both of the addresses I have for you, which hopefully you will get. I'm never sure whether it shows as coming via Yahoo or Sarantium, but either way it'll give you an address to get me at.
Re the jobs - cheers for that. However, as you say, I am probably about the worst person in the world to go for a job with a 3 month contract and a start asap date, and none of the stuff currently on the website would pay well enough to cover the expenses of going to work (i.e. childcare + petrol). I have bookmarked the site and will keep an eye on it though. Thanks.
Jobs have gone live at Tribunals so you know - they have a relatively short cut-off period, but they are up here in case it is of any use;
