How old is your baby this week? 8 months, 3 weeks.

What's up with you emotionally & mentally this week? i had a very bad weekend due to lots of problems this weekend.

What has been your biggest challenge this week? leah was grumpy and feverish friday night... saturday we found out she has a double ear infection. she got prescribed amox and had an allergic reaction to it (myself and my mother are allergic as well) and we have to go back today to get her on a different antibiotic.

Has your baby accomplished a new milestone this week? If so, what? finally has started saying mama consistently. am i the only one who doesn't consider dada mama baba first words since she doesn't really associate them with us?

Has your baby had any appointments or play dates? How did they go? see above.

Random things of note? i'm ready for a day off from my little munchkin. i've yet to have one but i think i'm ready now, lol. i'm so exhausted.

Optional Question: What is your babies weight? 19lbs 12oz at the doctor's office saturday.

No. I don't consider any word said without context to be a word. Just babble.

No, I don't consider them actually words since he does it the majority of the time. However, Kiernan now only does MMMMMMMA MMMA MMMMA when he wants the boob. I don't count that as calling me mama, but instead as an association of getting the boob.

how's she doing on solids? how long does she go between feeds?

Could you nurse her, hand her off and go to a movie? Or if she gets hungry again, can your sitter just give her some applesauce or yogurt or whatever? My friend A has a baby who doesn't do the sippy cup or bottle but he will go a good 3-4 hours without a nurse OR he's happy to get a meal of yogurt instead It's not as good as a full day off, but it's better than nothing.

FWIW...I joined a gym specifically to get time away from E

well she can go like 4 hours between nursing if she is given food inbetween, but she's very quick to notice when i'm not there, since i'm a sahm and am with her 24/7. she will scream bloody murder until i get back. and even then i would do it, but i don't drive. i have my license but am terrified of the highway haha. my husband said one day this weekend he will let me sleep in and take a bath and play the sims 3 all day and only give leah to me when she needs to be fed. i'm excited about it. :P

That's a tough set of challenges.

Enjoy your weekend.

Maybe your husband could take her for a decent chunk of time each weekend? Ravi is trying to take E for a 1/2 day on Sundays. Your husband could drive you to the mall and you could go to a movie and he and ashley could go somewhere else.
