Chapter 3 - Mall Rats

Dec 02, 2006 22:06

It seems my mother had another whim, this time one that involved me. She swooped in and took me out shopping "in honor of winter!" without so much as a warning. I knew I should've checked before answering the door. Then she insisted on paying for everything, because I never "indulge myself." She's far too stubborn for her own good.

Nevertheless. The shoes helped. A little.

[Private] I really wish she wouldn't do that. It's not that I don't appreciate a few new shoes, it's just that I'd rather pay for them myself.

I'm wanting that secretarial post more than ever. I don't like to rely on my family.

I would've wanted that warning more. Honestly. She's impossible. [/Private]
