WOW I called back the doctor I went to about three months ago to look at my tonsils. Not only is he an ear/nose/throat doctor but also a plastic/reconstructive surgeon. I normally don't seek out a specialist, since it is expensive, but since my family doctor gave me antiboitics when I didn't even NEED them it so turns out, I'd rather go elsewhere.
Anyway, I shouldn't have been so surprised when I asked about how I'd need to go about being able to get my tonsils out, and the receptionist replies, "You'll just need to leave a voicemail with the woman that handles the scheduling, and she'll get right back to you!" No re-visit, no verification that I actually would NEED my tonsils out. Interesting. But good. So I can get it out of the way before I have to go back to school.
I feel weary about this guy, and I've decided I'd rather go through an actual doctor for this sort of thing, even if I don't trust said doctor for medical diagnosis any longer. :P
