Well I have a new theory as to why i've had a permanent fever for these past few weeks. No, it's not iron deficiency, as I once thought. No, it's not love, though Kylie suggests otherwise. I think it's frickin' glandular fever, judging by the size of my throat glands, which are about to burst from my throat. Eep!

So here's a little bit of a run-down with what has happened lately:

*The coast was perfect. The best moment I had was skinny-dipping at 2am in the surf with my friends. The moon had just risen over the horizon and the water was silver and luminescent.

*My friends were great. We'd sit quietly and relax one moment, then we'd start tickling and attacking each other the next. There was one conversation we had in which we debated the existence of God; science's failure to disprove the existence of God; and the nature of perception upon reality. It was pretty cool.

*I got to sneak away and climb sand dunes and walk beaches by myself. In the sand dunes, there were flocks of huge Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos (Calyptorhynchus funereus) flying majestically through the woods. In the afternoon, a Yellow-bellied Sea-Snake (Pelamis platurus) and many Snotties (Cyanea nozakii) were stranded on the beach. "Snotty" is the official name given to a huge brown mucus-covered jellyfish found on the queensland coast. To me it looks like a multi-tiered wedding cake made out of jelly.

*Last night I went clubbing at the "Family" for the first time. I was prepared to hate to it but found myself enjoying dance music more than I normally would. I found people to be less conscious of being watched when they danced, and gave themselves to the rhythm and beat more so than at any other club i've been to. My friends were suprised that I enjoyed the club, especially seeing as though I was completely sober.

Anyway, life is not really very good, but it's not terrible either. I'm just waiting for something to happen, something to change - even if it's just something internal like the amount of motivation I have or whatever.

I hope everyone is well!
