comics, life

New My Arms Can Fly!  Get it hot off the presses, here at wordpress.  I've also taken the time to put together a recommendation list of the comics I read, a FAQ, and a formspring account for myself and for Small Hope.  Ask questions!!! Especially ask Small Hope because answering those is the most fun.

Doing the comic has been a breath of fresh air.  I think I went a little crazy with meta stuff, since I knew I had strips queued up for last week and today.  I'm about halfway done with next week's, which is far more involved than any of the others (vehicles! crowds! backgrounds!).  Sometimes it's discouraging to be so "meh" about how it looks, but looking at how my favorite comics have improved over their tenures always helps.  It also makes me a little impatient that I'm only updating once a week, because that's so SLOW and there are CHARACTERS and I want to INTRODUCE THEM etc etc but I figure it's better to have a slow schedule that I meet than a frequent schedule that I always miss.

In other parts of life, I'm taking too many classes and trying to keep my head above water.  For the most part it's fine, as the classes are manageable (all five), and it's really the extra stuff -- RAing, the LGBT Rights Project, the Humanities Journal -- that put me over the top.  Then again, they're still there.  As is applying to jobs.  Which is pretty awful.  Paper topic season is also afloat... more on that in another post.

Tomorrow's supposed to be a beautiful day!  I tried to get people from school together to go on a hike and picnic but they all suck and either can't go, didn't respond, or are not responding to my final logisticizing, which makes me worry that they're going to flake out.  I guess worse to worse, I go to the farmer's market, hop on my scooter (a/k/a Pia), and go on up to the mountain on my own.
