Those of you that are awesome and (a) have twitter and (b) follow small_hope on twitter will already know that I've been working on a sort of story about a Puritan fellow who suddenly finds himself in the modern world, trapped in the body of a chickadee, of all things.
I'm not stopping the twitter, but unsurprisingly, the story has grown too complex to fit into little 140-word blurbs. I feel a little defeated by this, as my whole goal was to attempt something that would work with little tweets. Perhaps I must hand the literary potential of twitter over to the poets.
Anyway, I am now working on a different vehicle for telling Small Hope's story. If you saw
my post a couple days ago of some initial tablet sketches you may have noticed one of a girl (Ysabela) and a bird (Small Hope).
I don't quite want to call it a comic, yet, though that may be it. At any rate, I've worked on a few more things, so you can see a sample of what I'm doing! The style and format are still being played around with. The story is coming to me very rapidly though, and it's very exciting! I hope that you will join me on this journey, as it were.
Prudence, Small Hope's wife, is not a major character at first. However, I've already decided that an "act" or so of the story will focus on her and the backstory. Here she is, looking for her missing husband, anywhere she can.
In our world, Small Hope's best friend is a mouse, christened Elijah. This is pretty self-explanatory.
