I don`t know, I think fashion and gender ideals/rules can very a lot from country to country: The way Japanese men cross their legs is like how some European men do; however, American men generally don`t cross them that way because it`s perceived feminine from US POV. Men topless in Japan is risque but not so much in the US. Japanese would never go to the convenience store by their house or grocery store late at night in PJs, while people in the US and China do.

True, most things that in japanese can be considered normal, here are seen as gaish even, too sad I love japanese ways^^

Because I`ve been in Japan for a couple of years and spend a lot of time with Japanese, I don`t find it so different/weird anymore. I don`t even think I really think about it anymore. At first, how Japanese guys generally dressed, acted, and talked was very distracting to me, but I only notice it when it`s weird for a Japanese guy.
