Dear J*****n,
My condolences! Thanks for the heads-up. (I trimmed my beard for nothing?! j/k) =)

Seriously, wearing my best shirt on an unnecessary day isn't good for my laundry cycle! Serves me right for signing up for the last of the three sessions offered, but ironically it was the only day I could fit into my schedule.
There's this USA-based summer camp that's coming to Saint Mary's on January 15th to conduct interviews. That's good - it's something I can apply for concurrently and harmoniously with any B.Ed. applications because they'll be looking for some of the same things. Thank goodness for copy-and-paste.
I was really dreading tonight, but now I'll always be left wondering what it would have been like. It could have been a bomb, I suppose. I sometimes have trouble making light conversation, and sometimes when people tell me what they do, I can't think of anything to say but, "Wow, that's really cool." Still, it would have been an interesting experience. Remind me to look out for such opportunities next semester.
Also, I'd like to come out officially in favour of a faculty strike. Here is my rationale:
1) For those of us who get our work done, it's six of one, half-a-dozen the other.
2) It means I get to spend more time in PEI after Christmas. Classes would normally resume January 3rd. (Lame. Or maybe Christmas should just come earlier.)
3) Their domain name alone,
smufu.ca, speaks volumes. When I first saw the link I thought it was registered by some Dal prankster.
