So, Roxas is completely spoiled. In some ways that are just funny (and in some ways that I try to convince my mom to stop doing, like giving her food almost whenever she wants it and giving her the outside cat's type of food whenever she asks for it).
Like, okay, Roxas like to drink out of a running faucet. I think we discovered this a few winters ago when we would leave the water running so it wouldn't freeze and we'd constantly find Roxas attempting to drink all the water from the faucet.
And somehow what it turned into is Roxas will sit in the bathtub and stare at the faucet when she wants you to turn it on for her. I resisted for a very long time, telling her I did not know how to do it, but I eventually gave in. Now at any point in time, you can walk into the bathroom and Roxas is likely to be sitting in the bathtub waiting on a drink. And this is after we bought her a cat water fountain (which she often sticks her hand in to make the water flow out of the fountain -_- ).
ANYWAY, the other morning I woke up and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth, and there is Roxas sitting in the bathtub. On a folded up towel. So I asked my mom, what is this towel doing in the bathtub, Roxas is sitting on it.
And... yes, it was so that Roxas wouldn't get cold from sitting on the cold surface of the bathtub while she was drinking out of the faucet.
She also took to sleeping in one of the bathroom cabinets, so my mom cleared it out and put a towel down for her. She takes naps in there quite often. Sometimes you'll be in the shower and the next thing you know Roxas is popping out of the cabinet. My poor grandma (she is terrified of Roxas and Roxas uses this to her advantage) went into the bathroom and Roxas popped out of the cabinet to surprise her.
And then there is the Christmas tree. I'm sure everyone with a cat has Christmas tree stories. When she was a baby she would climb in the tree and play with the ornaments. Then she got a bit bigger and couldn't climb the tree without knocking it down so we started tying it to the wall. And of course not a day went by that you didn't have to chase Roxas down to retrieve an ornament. And then there is the fact that we have a pre-lit tree, and Roxas broke the string of lights on the bottom third of the tree.
Well, this year, we just didn't decorate the bottom third of the tree. It seems to have helped some, and I've only had to go after ornaments a few times. But I also think Roxas has taken this as a challenge... "The ornaments are higher; the difficulty level of this game has been increased, and I must prove my abilities" because she occasionally leaps at the tree now. :/
I will say she loves Christmas though... she will just sit and stare at the tree sometimes too. And she's gotten a bit better about leaving me to wrap presents in peace (only just a bit though), and the other day I was wrapping presents and she was just a few feet away from me, leaving me alone, rolling all around in the floor out of pure Christmas joy.
TL;DR Roxas is a spoiled little brat but she sure is adorable.
